But they've moved on now, so I thought I'd test out their replacements. And I'm very glad I did too. I'm thinking that the people of Rainford must be particularly patient, because I was greeted by a very happy young manager named Ben, and we had a proper good old chat. Not just a cursory "how do you do" exchange, but a real good old fashioned natter, before he told me about our new chef Lewis, and then introduced me to young Zoe, who looked after me beautifully for the rest of the afternoon. And I realised, I hadn't had a simple good old fashioned cheeseburger for over two years now, so Zoe brought me a delightfully filling burger with a side order of sweet potato fries. It was delicious. Every bit as good as I remembered it. Maybe the staff might change and the management might be different, but the smiles are just as warm and the food is just as gorgeous.
