“I am so shocked after reading negative opinions because my one is absolutely opposite so I decided to write a review as well. We order Mr Sushi around for a year now (as soon as they appeared on Just Eat app). Delivery time is like usual when you use delivery apps +/- 45 minutes. Food is always fresh and tasty, soups are nicely warm. Deep fried chicken Yakiudon is life :D I would highly recommend it as we love sushi and we've eaten it in many places. This is definitely in top 5.”

Ryan helped us conjure up the elegance of a white wedding with stunning florals and foliage. We had some ideas and Ryan helped turn these into reality, going beyond our expectations. The hanging foliage over the tables was stunning, while the tables were tastefully decorated with small vases containing beautiful roses, astilbe and hydrangeas. These were complimented by LED candles creating a magical display that guests and ourselves were blown away by. It has that Korean homemade feel to their food. Not going to lie, it’s not flashy food, it’s not trying to be in your face, it’s not instagrammable. It isn’t overly spiced. It’s not trying to adhere to the local palette. Instead, it feels genuine, fresh, and from the heart-like a lovely homemade meal. To us that defines what a 5 star review should be. “Hanako Brings Japan to Watford When I was looking for authentic Japanese food nearby, a few restaurants came up. But Hanako immediately caught my attention. Just from the Google review photos of their sushi and sashimi, I could see the craftsmanship. The presentation looked simple and neat, not overly decorated, but refined in a way that reminded me of true Japanese style. My Japanese friend and I were so excited that we arrived before the restaurant opened. The owner kindly let us in early, which was already such a warm welcome. Inside, the atmosphere was cozy and felt just like a small restaurant in Japan. The menu was easy to understand with clear English, and allergy information was clearly shown. On top of that, the owner kindly explained some of the dishes to us as well. I ordered the nabe udon and a sashimi sushi set. My friend had the shoyu ramen. The portion sizes were quite big for us, but because everything tasted so good, we finished it all. The flavors were very authentic but also easy to enjoy for people who may not be familiar with Japanese food. If I had to describe it in Japanese, I would say it has a 優しい味, meaning a gentle and comforting taste. We had a lovely chat with the owner. She told us that the tuna sashimi is 本マグロ, which is bluefin tuna imported from Japan. That truly impressed us, and you could taste the quality. Everything felt so fresh and nourishing. What surprised me even more is that Hanako has been open for 23 years. That’s nearly the same age as me. It made me think about how Japanese food wasn’t very common in the UK back then. I can only imagine how much this restaurant has gone through over the years to continue sharing this kind of food with the community. I wrote this review to share my appreciation for the food and people at Hanako. If you’re reading the menu outside and not sure whether to go in, I really recommend you try it. This place is a hidden gem.”

They confirmed our order was ready but no delivery driver had shown up after waiting a few minutes longer we ended up going to collect the order ourselves and they gave us some free brownies by way of apology!”

“The staff at this Travis Perkins are fantastic. My partner and I had a pipe burst in our flat and we needed some industrial dehumidifiers to help with the soaking wet walls and ceilings. John was extremely helpful and understanding, he helped us rent out the dehumidifiers and helped get them into our flat very quickly and we are incredibly grateful. The quick response to our needs has helped us massively in the long term. I highly recommend going to Travis Perkins.”
