“Marble Brewery are one of the best brewers around in my view. Their new tap has hit the ground running. On my visit, there was Pint on cask, in addition to 9 varied keg offerings and a full fridge. Great use of the space given its purpose and a place I'll return to.”

“Love this pub inside and out. It’s got so much history and charm. The building used to be the Manchester & Salford Children’s Mission back in Victorian times, where they ran a kitchen for kids and the homeless. Now it’s this brilliant underground pub, and you can still see the old glazed brick walls when you head downstairs, which just adds to the atmosphere. I’d love to see more of that story told inside. There are a few old photos up, but no info with them... a bit of context would make it even better. Doesn’t put me off going though, it’s still one of my favourite spots in Manchester.”

“Fantastic service and food. We had a birthday dinner for two and they made the birthday girl feel special. Ambiance was modern and luxurious. We had starters of arancini and croquettes that were delicious. Mains we opted for steaks that were perfect with a cherry & almond dessert. All of this was absolutely divine. This place will take care of you and highly recommend”

“Called in yesterday for some food — it was busy but we managed to get a table. The food was incredible; you don’t find proper pub grub like that very often anymore. The staff were friendly and welcoming too. We’ll definitely be back.”

Has a wide variety of beers and ciders to choose from, the staff are incredibly friendly, the interior is very cosy and beautiful and it also has a cute little beer garden for the sunny days as well as an upstairs floor is usually hosting some kind of event! “Ok. Hear me out. I was visiting from Texas on a work trip. My office is right across the street. Took my team out to eat after work to get to know them and chose this place. I am always a pepperoni pizza type of guy. But two of my team ordered the chicken and waffle pizza which was amazing. I wanted to eat all their pizza and not my pepperoni. Came back to the states and looked for someone who made this pizza and no one. This will be my first stop on my next visit.”

“We had a lovely dinner here the other night to celebrate our anniversary and our server was the wonderful Nancy who despite having a full section of tables throughout our entire meal was so attentive and professional. She made us feel so welcome and helped make our celebration so special. We loved our dinner and will return for other special occasions because of the attention to detail Nancy had and how all of her reccomendations hit the mark.”

“It’s just a really good cheap pub, no thrills but it’s a good size, got a great outside area (not done up but comfy enough to sit in the sun) really good for casual day drinking without breaking the bank.”

“Fantastic pub right in the heart of Manchester. Sam smiths brewery so you know exactly what you're getting. Larger for £2.80 is an absolute steal these days. Lovely country pub feel inside and good size beer garden. Can get busy when football and events on so plan accordingly!”

“Great traditional pub. Great entertainment on Friday nights for music & karaoke. The managers are great as are the staff. Great atmosphere and lovely group of regulars. Through the day, there is a beer garden at the back which is a sun trap and great for a relaxing pint after work.”

“Visited over Patrick’s weekend and really enjoyed liked the relaxed atmosphere. The place had plenty of screens showing the football, which was a nice. They also have Thief Street in the kitchen, the food was fantastic, great portion sizes and tasted delicious. The staff were friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall experience. Drinks are on the pricey side, with a pint of Guinness costing £6.70, but since we’re not big drinkers, we just had one drink each so it didn't affect us too much”

“Good service and variety of food prices are good as well, we tried the sushi and the crispy pork belly which were very tasty, even in a match day the service was pretty fast which honestly was unexpected in a very good way. The burger was really tasty the right size”

“The staff are very friendly and open-minded. The room itself is very nice and has been renovated, and the bathroom has also been modernized. High praise for the ladies down at the bar, which also serves as the reception desk. On my first evening, I asked for a new room because the ventilation was too loud, and I was promptly given a new one. Breakfast was good aswell. A good experience :-)”
