“We enjoyed our visit yesterday. After 3 years since I lasted visited, we decided t9 come back again and we can't regret that decision. The service from Shimi was just lovely, she really took care of us and was also there to make sure we enjoyed every bit of it. We booked for 2 and the table and chair was not spacious but the manager was so thoughtful to change our seats when we requested. That's lovely and beautiful. We shall come back again.”

“We stopped off at this place for a mid afternoon snack to carry us until dinner, and it was very good! I got an omelette with ham/cheese, and it was very nice! It came with buttered toast, as well as some salad on the side. The toast had a tad bit too much butter in it for my personal liking, but it was still nice! (I'm just a bit weird with butter :| ). The omelette was a good size too! In the fridge I spotted an oasis summer fruits drink.. IN A CAN! When was the last time you saw Oasis IN A CAN?? I didn't even know it existed. Of course I got it, and it was soo weird drinking from it, it was so strange drinking it from a can as opposed to a bottle which I've got every other time. I didn't get a photo - but the seats were pretty interesting! They were cubes. Cubes. We sat on CUBES. it was pretty comfortable, too...”

“So pleased I've discovered the atmosphere bar. Located within the university house this is the university's main SU bar but also well used by Peel Park visitors. The bar is located on the first floor of the building and is easily missed if you don't know it's there. Once inside there are three distinct and different parts of the bar. Firstly the main bar and largest space is like a sports bar with plenty of screens to watch live sporting events. Secondly, there is a games bar with pool tables and retro arcade games and darts. Thirdly there is a mezzanine floor which carries a whole different decor and vibe. Much more intermate and lounge like you can easily find your own space to work or have a private drink. I didn't sample the food but it appeared to be very good value for money. The beer selection was excellent and very well priced. £3.80 for a pint of Guinness and £3.70 for a pint of Madri. The Guinness was excellent too. When I'm next in Peel Park I'll certainly pay a visit to Atmosphere.”

“Fantastic lunch here. The food was to die for and the freshly squeezed orange juice was gorgeous. The mozzarella focaccia was so flavourful and the strawberry and vanilla sundae was absolutely next level. Our server, Esin was so lovely and attentive and even surprised me with a piece of passion fruit cheesecake (which tasted incredible) as I’m halfway through my pregnancy and was out shopping with my mum. Will definitely be returning!”

“My absolute go to Chinese in the area. The portions are very well sized for the money and most dishes come with the rice or chips included. The food is always very hot and well presented. The fire chow mein and seaweed is our favourite! Definitely recommend as the best Chinese in the area, and we love supporting local.”

“I had the best pizza and garlic bread I've ever had. The menu is bigger than most national chains and this makes pizzabaker all the better. There is no BBQ based pizza on the menu but all I had to do was ask and it was done, I had a chicken feast and it was amazing, so tasty. The garlic bread was great, so light and fresh, easily the freshest dough I've ever had. I will be back, very soon”

“I’m a DJ currently on tour around the UK and stopped by Slow Boat for a quick bite and honestly, it was one of the best takeaway meals I’ve had on the road. The food was amazing, packed with flavour and cooked perfectly. The salt and pepper chips and salt and pepper chicken were absolutely top-tier, crispy, well-seasoned, and full of that classic wok-fried flavour. The staff were so polite and helpful, making the whole experience even better. You can tell they really care about their customers. Great portion sizes, fair prices, and everything came out fresh and hot. Highly recommend Slow Boat if you’re anywhere nearby, proper comfort food and great service all around. “I think the rating of this restaurant on Google is absurd, and reaffirms that people only ever leave bad reviews. Our experience with this Chinese is pretty consistently 9/10. Portion sizes - Brilliant. Food Freshness/Taste - Brilliant. Service - Brilliant. Overall value - Great. The Salt & Pepper chefs box, chow mein, chicken satay, special curry and chicken wing menu items never let us down . We have tried other Chinese restaurants in the area and always find ourselves quickly regretting not ordering from here at No. 1.”
