Totally shocked and more disappointed that Pizza Italia is not the same(owners). Ordered this evening expecting that home made pizza base sauce with 'real' ham, recieves a bog standard generic takeaway pizza, phoney ham, bland. What has happened to one of if not the best pizza takeaways in Liverpool ! Waste of money never again :(
Absolutely fantastic food pizza made fresh everyday topping and sauce amazing good amount not to much that makes it look like a mess unlike the old owners bought from them an got food poisoning tried under new owners would recommend to anyone to try and there grilled menu is amazing also
If you loved buying pizza here you won't anymore!!! New owners - why ????? When I called to make my order I was told they don't make that amazing deep pan base anymore only a thin and crispy. That's when they told me they took the shop over but assured me the pizzas, toppings, quality was the same..THEY LIED! Paid the exact same prices for my pizza and a tray of chips (chips were amazing now just skinny French fry chips that arrived half cold) pizzas are usually completely laden with toppings, now the toppings are scarce, veg wasn't as fresh and chunky as usual and the sauce didnt taste a thing like the signature sauce we all know and love. When the driver handed me my delivery I thought the box was empty, it usually weights so heavy (and that's 10") got a bloody cheek to charge original Pizza Italia prices, over £20 for this pathetic order. Pizza is nowhere near the same quality, standard or taste. It's just another bog standard pizza shop thats nothing special. Won't be going back,I'd rather buy a pizza from Costco and have change than waste my money here!
We too have been ordering from pizza italia since gateacre. Just ordered 2 16inch pizza mafia costing nearly 40 pounds. What a waste of money. It was absolutely disgusting no toppings and the signature sauce that it's famous for was non existent. Just a drizzle on top which was neither here nor there. We have always bought the mafia and enjoyed it so much. But will never order from there again. The new owners are so tight with everything not worth the money. Come back old owners.
Worst food I've ever eaten. Originally intended to order a KFC from UberEats but it was "Unavailable". So we decided to try an Italian place. Ive had no problems before this experience, they make beautiful Mafia pizzas but my order was foul. I ordered a Carbonara, Ham & Mushroom Calzone and £7.90 "Chicken Italia" which was a burnt chicken breast (thats literally it, no seasoning or sauce) and cold fries. Also, the Carbonara had ONIONS in it! This edperience completley ruined my 1st Christmas eve with my family and I was left with food poisoning. Unless their Italian food is made better I wont be ordering from here again.
Not great! We ordered £60 worth for a bday party we were having and wanted to try something close, but boy did we regret it! The pizza crust was so hard and it just wasn't nice or worth the money. Each one of the guests said the pizza was pretty gross, so we were super disappointed. Lesson learned that next time we will just go with a chain.
