   Delicious food, always a good standard and child friendly. We recommend the bento box for children and the Yakima soba, pork belly ramen and crispy duck noodles. Always a treat!

   Went to Wagamama’s with a group of six of us, and we all really enjoyed the food. Everything was tasty, but the firecracker chicken was the standout—absolutely packed with flavor, not overly spicy, just perfect. Also recommend the ricesukare—comforting and delicious. The service was really excellent too—friendly and attentive throughout. Great experience overall. I’d definitely go back!

   I’ve been a Wagamama fan for years and have visited many branches across the UK—from London (Greenwich, Richmond, Covent Garden, near King’s Cross, Ealing, Westfield Shepherd’s Bush, and Wembley) to Norwich, and now York. One thing I truly appreciate is that the food quality and taste remain consistently excellent across all these locations—and the York City Centre branch was no exception on that front. The dishes were fresh, flavourful, and reliably delicious, whether it was a comforting ramen bowl or a crispy katsu curry. The brand's commitment to quality and well-executed recipes really shines through, making Wagamama a go-to wherever I travel. That said, the only inconsistency I noticed was in the service speed and overall attentiveness. While the staff in York were friendly, the pace and polish of service didn't quite match the seamless, often quicker experience I’ve had at several London branches. It wasn’t a major issue, but it’s a noticeable difference if you’re used to the more streamlined service found in the capital. Still, Wagamama York is absolutely worth a visit—especially if you're craving that familiar, satisfying meal in a relaxed setting. I’ll certainly be back, and I continue to appreciate the brand’s remarkable consistency in food quality across the country.

   Food was all very delicious, well presented and arrived quickly, although the aubergine in my yasai katsu was just a tad undercooked. They’d also run out of the new vegan cheesecake that I was excited to try which was a shame! But still had numerous other dessert choices for vegans which is a rare thing in most restaurants! The staff were all very friendly, welcoming and attentive and being able to pay by phone made it very easy. We did have to queue for 20 mins to get in but once inside there were dozens of empty tables - so it’s unfortunate that it’s evidently an issue of lacking staff to meet the demand rather than lacking the tables! Wouldn’t stop us from returning in the future though

   First time visiting, was worried that might not like the menu but I was very surprised. Great choice of food along with plenty of vegan options too. The restaurant had a great vibe and atmosphere. Food arrived very quick even though it was quite busy. Food tasted amazing along with the drinks. Would highly recommend, definitely new favourite restaurant and will be coming back.

   Just been (Boxing day) to celebrate my daughters 18th birthday. There were four of us, one of us being a wheelchair user. Everything we ordered was so tasty! Great menu. Lovely decor/ambience. Friendly staff. Really impressed at everything including the access for the wheelchair. We certainly will return & I know the issue we'll have is trying to choose what to order. 5 stars!!
