The food was just amazing with the tempura prawns the best I’ve had. So light, melt in the mouth and tasty. The ramen was delicious. Great service too from the staff there. They definitely looked after us. Thank you so much
We got chicken gyoza and spring rolls, and ramen. The gyoza and spring rolls were delicious, quality ingredients and fresh. I legit think those were the best spring rolls I’ve ever had. The ramen was next level too, super flavourful and filling… absolute classic umami hit. There was plenty more on the menu, price was decent too. If you’re in the area get yourself down here.
Absolutely outstanding food! Flavourful, big portions and so reasonably priced. The service was quick and friendly, especially the new owner who took the time to tell us about the history of the restaurant and how he had bought it through his love of it. We will 100% be back (and likely with our son this time as the kids menu looked very good value also) - a must to try in our books! Thank you for a lovely experience.
It was our first time visiting Fuji Hiro since its reopening, and it’s safe to say we loved it! The improvement since our last visit before it closed is fantastic. The service was quick and attentive and the restaurant had a great buzz as it filled up after we arrived. Most importantly, the food was brilliant! The prices are reasonable and it was honestly one of the best chicken katsu curries I’ve had. We’re so glad Fuji Hiro is back on the scene and we’ll definitely be returning very soon!
So we'd been coming for years but last time before it closed we felt the wait for food was too long and wasn't up to it's usual great service. However was sad it closed but went yesterday following it's reopening and it was great. Lovely new decor, really great owner who chatted with us and friendly staff. Menu was paired back which I think was the right idea. Food was so lovely and tasty and just like the good old days. We will be back as often as we can from now on. Welcome back Fuji
Are you looking for an authentic yet affordable Japanese in the heart of Leeds City Centre? Fuji Hiro is your top choice. We recently discovered this hidden gem embedded within Merrion Centre. Upon entering the restaurant, the restaurant's interior immediately transports you to Japan! All the dishes were delicious, served hot and fresh! We can’t recommend enough of their signature Shrimp Vegetable Tempura Soba (Mixed vegetables and shrimp with tempura batter and noodles). It is very popular among the locals, so call to make a reservation to avoid disappointment. We can’t wait to go back again.
I know no one is going to believe this review but I just can’t believe the other reviews I’m reading. This is The Best Japanese restaurant I’ve ever been in my life. I’ve been to many restaurants and honestly, this was so unexpected. The quality and presentation of the dishes are so high above what you would expect from this price range. The service also, the waiter was swift and he could speak every language imaginable. Wish I lived in Leeds to come here very often. Again, the best Japanese restaurant I’ve ever been to in my life. And this is coming from a guy whose never bother to leave a good review anywhere.
Tasty food. Served quickly. No frills service. Felt like the place could do with a bit of a clean. Worth going for the food, but don’t go for a special occasion. Will definitely go again for the food as a take away. Good range of vegetarian food, just make sure to say you don’t want egg noodles
