Reasonable food,at a realistic price. Rising Sun, Redditch always busy at lunchtime, Teatime. Always a good selection of beer at sensible prices. Very handy in town centre to call in for light meals and a drink or refill Coffee you don't get elsewhere in town . Go there regularly.
Oh dear. I usually give 5 stars to #jdwetherspoon. Sadly this one is in trouble today. Customer service is shocking. The staff are forgetting to treat customers with good manners and grace and to deal with enquiries in a courteous manner. Absolutely shocking. Please re-train the staff urgently.
Food was okay, but there must be a shortage of staff, because when I visited nearly every table was taken up with crockery and glasses from the previous diners, which meant in order for you to take a table you had to clear everything left. I do understand this is a budget pub, but the tables should be cleared at least. What little staff there were there seemed rushed, but they were very pleasant and efficient.
One of my favourite Wetherspoons. Good food and professional staff. Well priced drinks and a fun quiz night every Thursday.
Ordered a large amount of food today for a birthday meal out. Was totally disgusted with the state of the glasses. Asked for clean glasses twice and still got dirty glasses. Ordered a gammon and chips and egg, the gammon was very fatty also a steak extra asked for it to be cooked well and ended up it being medium with blood yes complained they replaced and yet again it came back the same. Wasn't very happy.
The best coffee Lavazza only for 99p.(refill). Staff very friendly.
Fine selection of ales. A regular place for me to visit, but very disappointed with the way I was treated on my latest visit. Ordered a pint of purity bunny hop, only to find it was cloudy & tasted unpleasant! Told the barman who served me, but showed little interest in my concern... Not to put off, I awaited his return to say I wanted my pint changed. Told me it was a vegan variety & he wouldn't change it. Saw manageress, same response. I told them both it was wrongly advertised & was entitled to have it changed! Was told to buy a different pint if I wasn't happy. A regular for many years, I was very disappointed with my treatment. Emailed wetherspoons... Surprisingly no response
Used to be nicer but it's in need of a revamp. Shame you can't quality control the punters either - people being sick in the street in a weekday afternoon then shouting at staff who came to clean it up. Here's an update 2 years on: this is a brie, bacon and smoky chilli jam panini *new* on the menu. Sent it back and the return had no chili jam. NAFF. Cracking beer though lol.
