   Edit. The manager rang and sent over a new order a couple of days later for free to say sorry. Wasn’t burnt and was edible however still forgot a whole pizza, and some other bits to go with the desserts. So tried to reprieve themselves but still let themselves down. Hopefully things are improved next time we order. Ham and tomato pizza had no ham on it? All pizzas burnt. Tried to get in touch via your app but still in the queue now. Nearly £50 down the drain after waiting over an hour for delivery.

   If only all pizzarias were as good as this. I rarely have pizzas as I feel they are poor value but the one I had here was amazing. Service was friendly and prompt. The base was the best I have ever had and the topping was sumptious. The ingredients were so fresh and good quality I ate it all - I usually take half home because I had got bored with it. Not from this place. Definately going back

   What happened to Paolos?! This used to be a great under the radar spot in Heswall. Apparently there's new ownership - don't we know it?! The poor waitress can barely speak English well enough to take orders and the pizza... it used to be premium quality, authentic. Now it's 3/10 quality at best. The whole place reeks of cost cutting and it's clear they just care about their bottom line. Why did they have to ruin it? I loved it before

   I ordered the vegetarian pizza and some of the truffle fries, the food was fresh and very tasty. They definitely know what they're doing making wood fire pizzas, definitely give this place a try if you're considering it.

   Pizzas very good but I paid extra to have tuna, red onions and mushrooms on mine, you needed a search party to find the toppings 3 mushy mushrooms funny taste thought they were tinned yuk,no red onion at all and little tiny bits of tasteless tuna. Waited for ever for a our drinks very slow service, expensive starters.

   We had a disappointing visit about a month ago but thought we would try again last night and had another very disappointing visit for a family bithday The table we booked was not ready when we arrived, there were empty tables that had not been cleared. After 15 minutes we were seated, took ages for orders to be taken. There was not enough staff. The menu has changed and favourites removed. When the pizza arrived some were missing ingredients and the toppings did not seem fresh. Some of the pizzas were burnt. Our bill was amended but overall we are very sad Paolos has changed so much and sadly we wont be back.

   We have been to Paolos a lot and have always had a great meal but having visited yesterday we were disappointed. The menu has changed and some of our favourites have been removed in particular the dough sticks which the kids love. The wine is now limited in choice and poor quality. I ordered the speck fontina which normally has a cream base but this time was just a small bit of cheese and ham on garlic pizza bread. There was only one member of staff serving who was working really hard but there really should have been two or more. Such a shame as it was great before but I think the new owners need to iron out the teething issues
