Minimal waiting time, the staff were helpful & friendly. We enjoyed our meal, the portions were perfectly sized & served piping hot! Thank you for a good experience.
First and foremost THANK YOU for being one of the very view places within the food court to serve Gluten free food. We were served by Charlie, he was extremely knowledgeable, offered us all the combinations available. Hubby had the jacket potato with chicken tikka with a side of cheese. He said the potato was well cooked through, light and fluffy. The tikka was very moist and flavourful. Overall it was such a relief to find somewhere to eat as a family. Would highly recommend it to others and will definitely be returning customers. Again, thank you Charlie you're a credit to your work place.
We come here all the time, the chips are delicious, and since the first time we had them (sometime last winter), we’ve been back almost weekly for a potion each. My husband likes the kebabs too.
I don't know how this plaice tee hee isn't 5 stars because these chips are the best I've ever had which I would never have expected not by the seaside. Mind blown. Lots of options for food and friendly kind attentive staff. Wonderful!
A visit to meadowhall wouldn't be complete without eating in the oasis dining court and our pick is always Tasty Plaice who by far does the best chips in the country in my opinion. It's great value, cooked fresh and has all the usual chip shop options including kebab meat. I went for a battered sausage, chips, gravy and peas with a helping of batter bits (scraps) and the portion size is enough to fill, add a fizzy drink and it's a complete meal for under a tenner (at time of writing). Staff are friendly and it's we'll run, the queue's are kept to a minimum and service is near instant. Cannot fault and will be back again for sure
Best chippy around. We visit approx every 2 weeks and sometime travel just to get chips. Food is always hot and the portions are very very generous.
Although the food is very nice, they have really shrunk their portions down. Paying £9 for kebab and chips you would expect there to be plenty of meat. Instead I got a child's portion of meat.
A bit more pricey than most fish & chips shops but fills the hole. Haddock is never ready so got cod instead, it was nice.
I have been having this place's cod and chips for years. My fondest memories is during my time at university in Nottingham, to come home every Friday evening from the train Meadowhall station, and always ordering the cod/chips here to eat at home. This place serves the best fish and chips I have ever tasted, and perhaps will be for my life. Unlike the common chippies which serve greasy slop and more batter than actual fish, this place actually serves the crispiest and least greasy fish and chips ever! The aroma and taste of the cod and chips are unique, no other fish and chip place has this shop's unique tastes. The portion size is smaller than your usual fish/chip portion, but it always leaves me feeling satisfactory full, as opposed to the "you ate too much" full. It is on the expensive side, but for the taste, it's a price worth paying. The staff actually listens to your instructions if you put directions on your Just Eat or Uber Eats order, like if you want pepper sachets or peas in a pot. Some of the staff here I recognise and they have been here for many years. This establishment and staff deserves the 5 stars. Keep it up, and I will look forward to my next order from here!
Cracking fish bites chips and curry / peas. £7.99 each. Lovely hot and tasty. Very busy today in the Oasis. Queue for food but service carried out with a smile.
