I approached Forrza in West Kirby with the usual British suspicion reserved for anything claiming to do pizza properly. After all, pizza is a deceptively simple thing, and deception, I find, is best tackled head-on. I am pleased—almost annoyed—to report that Forrza gets it gloriously right. The moment the pizza arrives, you notice the freshness. Not the theoretical freshness one often hears about, but the sort that announces itself immediately: beautifully light dough, crisp where it should be crisp, soft where it should be soft, and clearly made by someone who understands flour on a personal level. The toppings are fresh, well-balanced, and applied with restraint—no one here is attempting to bury the pizza under a geological layer of cheese. This is pizza with confidence. Calm, assured pizza. Pizza that doesn’t shout, “Look at me!” because it knows you already are. The atmosphere at Forrza is relaxed and welcoming, without any of that unnecessary theatricality that sometimes accompanies Italian restaurants. You sit down, you relax, you eat something excellent. No drama. No opera. Just food doing exactly what it’s meant to do—make you happy and slightly unwilling to share. Service is warm, friendly, and refreshingly human. You are looked after, not managed. There is a subtle sense that the people here actually care whether you enjoy your meal, which is always encouraging. By the time you’ve finished—probably contemplating whether ordering “just one more slice” counts as a moral failing—you realise that Forrza is the sort of place that quietly becomes a favourite. Not flashy. Not pretentious. Just consistently, reassuringly good. In summary, Forrza in West Kirby serves fresh, lovely pizza that reminds you why pizza became popular in the first place. It is comforting, satisfying, and dangerously moreish. I would return without hesitation. Possibly tomorrow. And I would complain about nothing—except that the pizza eventually ends.

Amazing pizza. The pizza was cooked fresh in front of us and was delicious. You could tell that good quality, fresh ingredients had been used. We have vegan pizzas and were very impressed by the vegan cheese, as well as the kitchen's flexibility in adding toppings to pizzas. The service was extremely attentive and helpful. The atmosphere was inviting and comfortable. Note - I would just ask that you make it clearer on your menu that you do have vegan cheese. I know there is a note saying any pizza can be made vegan, but we initially took this as meaning that you would just take the cheese off the pizza and not replace it with vegan cheese. Initially this put us off visiting, but we were very pleasantly surprised when we visited and found that you did in fact have vegan cheese!

We dined at Forza last night and had an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived with our two dogs, the staff and even the other customers were incredibly welcoming—one of the team even brought over a little doggy water bowl, which was such a thoughtful touch! Shane, Grace, Sadie, and Jordan were outstanding from start to finish. Their service was warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly. As someone who is gluten intolerant, I was especially impressed by how allergy-aware the team was. They made me feel completely at ease, and the gluten-free pizza was genuinely amazing—easily the best I’ve had! The food overall was made with high-quality, authentic ingredients that really stood out in every bite. I tried a new pizza tonight and it was nothing short of spectacular. We even had the chance to speak with the chef, who was incredibly welcoming and clearly passionate about the food. Another great perk is that Forza is just a two-minute walk from the train station—perfect if you're enjoying a drink like we were. Highly recommend Forza for top-notch food, a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, and fantastic service.

We’ve been coming to West Kirby for a few years now for short breaks and have only recently found this absolute gem. Authentic pizza made with top quality ingredients. Absolutely delicious. Been twice and will be back.

The food when it arrived was fantastic. However the service was awfully slow. We had to chase for our starter and our mains. We did get a free glass of wine each after asking for one. At the end of the meal, we spoke to the owner about it and he gave the excuse that there was only one chef but he gave no apology. I would have gone back but won't be as the owner was rude and unapologetic for the poor service and generally didn't seem to know how to run a restaurant - you should ask customers how their meal is at least and try to make them happy. Such a shame as the restaurant and staff are great and the food is top notch, just be prepared to wait for an hour and receive no apology. And no, the free glass of wine doesn't excuse no apology - we'd already had two bottles of wine between four and didn't really need another drink but wanted one to pass the time between courses.

Great place. Pizza is superb and it's great how you can see the chef's prepare them. Good kids menu options and very accommodating to dietary requirements. Really nice place.

The best little Italian! The food and cocktails are delicious. Staff are really friendly and knowledgeable/helpful with dietary requirements. They also had the most yummy gelato we've ever had.

We have eaten at Forza a few times; the pizza is excellent. Very good service too and yesterday it was no exception. The chef is visibly working very hard to deliver very nice, freshly prepared and well presented food ( I also had pasta once and it was very nice) . Only slight area for improvement is we did have to wait a little too long for our starters ( which were lovely by the way) but the place was quite busy to be fair.

What a lovely spot! We drove past it when we were looking for dinner and had to stop and check it out. The website didn't work and the phone wasn't picking up (and there were no menus on Google at the time!) But we really liked the idea of some authentic pizza as we're sick of the kebab shop styles. With that in mind, I ordered two of those and a couple of drinks. It did take a while but the staff were super friendly and the vibe was *lovely*! While I waited they offered me an orange juice on the house and they let me have a seat at the lounge. I'm not a local but I'd LOVE to come back when I'm next in the area, which might well be soon! The pizzas themselves were gorgeous, we had them on a beach nearby and they tasted outstanding. My only confusion was that they were never sliced, which would be a no-brainer for a takeaway order, but that's the only gripe. Honestly a fantastic bunch of people, a great meal and in a beautiful location. I tried to take some photos of the menu and of the inside to help other visitors too and I told the staff about the website not working as well. Highly recommend you pop in now that you have a better idea of what it looks like.
