The owner was very nice, he made me a last minute drink even though he was closed. The drink was amazing, cheap, and quick. Can't wait to go back !
the boba here is fantastic. tastes great, made quickly and cheaper than a lot of other places. iirc it was around £4.50-£5 for a large which is a lot cheaper than other places i’ve been to that’s offered a smaller portion. the shop itself is spotless and offers a wide selection of different food and snacks.
Friendly staff, extremely reasonable prices and now stocking imported asian snacks, too. 10/10 local spot to pick up lunch and go and eat on the nearby cathedral grounds. Also very good quality if you order delivery to your house.
We stayed in Chester for the week and popped here every day. Fantastic spot for sushi lovers! Cactus Drink Well in Chester offers a great selection of fresh sushi with plenty of variety to choose from. We also enjoyed their tasty range of bubble tea flavors – each one was a fun and delicious treat! The ‘don of the day’ and hot meat on rice specials were definite highlights, with amazing flavours and great value. Just a heads-up: they sell out quickly, so it's best to get there early. They could use a few more rice cookers to keep up with the demand, but overall, it’s a must-visit for fresh and flavorful Japanese-inspired dishes in Chester!
My favourite place to eat in Chester! I order from cactus quite frequently, their food is delicious and fresh and they are always so accommodating. They have such a huge range of food and always adding new things to the menu. The drinks also have different sugar and milk options which is great for people with different needs. I’m a frequent a customer in person and by delivery and they have never ever made a mistake. I have included a selection of food I’ve eaten over the past few years- my favourites are the tofu steak, the katsu prawn and avocado uramaki and the katsu chicken ramen. They recently added Japanese cheesecake which is unbelievable (shown in pics) and hard to find in Chester so I would definitely recommend it! It’s really such delicious food and they have something for everyone which I love
The sushi and Gyoza was lovely. However, I was really looking forward to the katsu donburi, £11.35 for a bowl of mainly rice topped with a couple of spoonfuls of curry sauce with slices of fried chicken is rubbish, it really was poor and disappointing. Come on guys you can do better than this surely. Relative to many other Japanese restaurants it doesn't compare. Careful what you order.
Nadya provided amazin customer service and was extremely nice and polite. We enjoyed ourselves at Cactus and had an amazing time. She made us amazing drinks.
We have been regulars at this place since they opened, and it was honestly love at first sight, not only is the bubble tea absolutely amazing but the food is also delightful. Mo and Karina have been there from the beginning and they’re both super friendly and always treat us very well. Nadia also deserves a special mention, she recently joined and she’s just so lovely and quickly settled into the team. We love you all, thank you ♥️ - Magda and Nati
Simple bubble tea place, good tea, however when I last went there, they weren't doing hot tea, which would've been nicer to have during Winter. But still, a good bubble tea is a good bubble tea. The pudding topping is underrated.
I had my first bubble tea here and I haven’t found any other places that have tea that’s any better. They also have a big selection of asian food.
