Afternoon tea with a view sounded like a perfect plan, and the location of Panoramic 34 certainly delivers on that promise. Perched high above the city, the skyline and river set a spectacular stage for an indulgent treat with my wife. However, the experience itself stumbled in a few key areas. The order came with an error — an unwanted prawn sandwich on the plate, despite me specifically not requesting it with the restaurant a day before. Sorting it out required more effort than expected, as I had to chase this up with the bar staff to have it removed and corrected, despite our server being made aware at the first instance. Facilities also let the side down. The gents' toilet was not working correctly, a fairly basic issue that shouldn’t crop up at this price point, and it certainly dampened the overall polish. The bill came to £121 including service charge, which felt steep for what we received. The experience leans heavily toward Instagram-friendly style over traditional substance: and doesn't fully translate into the depth and quality you’d expect from classic afternoon tea. For those seeking the gold standard, nothing comes close to The Chester Grosvenor — in our view, it simply cannot be beaten. Traditional, refined, and genuine quality, it sets a benchmark that leaves Panoramic 34 feeling more like an elevated photo opportunity than a truly memorable tea service. In summary: visit for the views and the vibes, stay realistic about the value and substance, and enjoy — just don’t expect it to match the experience that can be had further down the road in Chester.

Would give more stars if I could. This place is amazing. The food is stunning. The service is like nothing I've ever experienced before. Evey one was friendly, couldn't do enough for us. Each dish was described in detail and tasted beautiful. The views are gorgeous and at night you can see Liverpools true beauty.

Went with my wife for our 20th wedding anniversary (lunch) Given a table without much of a view but tables facing liverpool skyline were free.(the best views) This did quite annoy me as nobody took these tables for our duration. .. I really think they couldn't be bothered relaying these tables. Service was OK, nothing special, food was also OK, obviously portions are quite small. Prices are on the higher side , paid around £160 for set menu with bottle of wine. Been here around 3 times previously and always enjoyed it as its views are spectacular. Would still recommend as a one off experience, but this could be so much better. Gone a bit stale in my opinion and taking people for granted.

Went here yesterday and the view of one the most beautiful iconic skylines was clearly visible from the restaurant, had managed to obtain a window view, which I was very happy about. Excellent service, staff were very pleasant and helpful. As a surprise to even me, after paying the bill they brought out a plate with two chocolates with Happy Anniversary. Really enjoyed the dessert and cocktails. Definitely recommend this place. Sat in the cocktail lounge

We went for High Tea and it was an amazing and awesome experience. All the food was delicious and beautifully presented. Staff was very attentive. The room and view was gorgeous. Highly recommend afternoon tea.

Very lovely food ! A group of us had the taster menu which was lovely, although different to the one listed online and there one of our group didn't eat much. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff very friendly, although on first serving a staff member knocked over a small flower pot with water in on our table, and on second serving another staff member knocked over one of our groups entire drink on the table. A nice experience overall, but may need a little more attention to detail regarding serving.

I went here for my birthday to take a cocktail with my boyfriend and I had a pleasant time. The cocktails were okay, the food was decent, the attention although is very good, we had a little inconvenience with a starter but they quickly fix it. Its a nice place to socialize with nice views

This was a treat for my birthday and we couldn't fault the food or service! First glance at the food portions makes you think it won't be enough but we had 3 courses and by the time you've finished you realise that the menu has been put together in such a way that it still hits the spot! Would personally recommend and would also go again! It has a quiet, calm atmosphere but not so quiet that you feel people are listening to you and the tables have good space between them!

An awesome place. Perfect for a special occasion or just a nice treat. Friendly staff, very clean - even had wipe down plastic cover on the lift buttons, just the thing in this post covid world. The views are stunning, they definitely fit the name panoramic. And the food was delicious. We had a lovely afternoon tea with cocktails. Would highly recommend a visit.
