We tried mamasan for lunch for our daughters first birthday! It was a great ambience across the restaurant Food was also delicious - we got carried away and ordered a lot of food and brought some leftovers back home Tried the pork belly in starters with shrimp crackers and dirty Thai fries on the side For mains we had pad Thai, beef short rib massaman curry and the kung po king prawns ! Everything was really good and the sauce in the massaman curry was lovely with all the vegetables and a nice flavour of the coconut milk!

Went for a weekday lunch....food was really good and 2 course deal was very good value. Drinks and starter came promptly, however, the main course took overran hour. I have a sneaking suspicion that we must have been overlooked. We weren't in a hurry luckily but can't give a high score for that reason....shame really as the ctual service was ok and very friendly. Would definitely go back with the hope that I could improve the score.

Firas and Pablo, the staff, made our lunch at Mamasan exceptional with their friendly and attentive service. The 2 sets lunch menu struck an unbeatable balance of price and quality, paired with a stylish and cozy atmosphere. While portions were slightly small, the refreshing dessert was the perfect finale. A fantastic spot for a memorable meal!

The expectation we had was high. And that’s probably the reason why i rated the whole experience a bit low. The Thai food was good, but also not great. I ordered the egg fried rice but it was disappointing. It doesn’t taste good and smells funny. The starters were nice though. We also enjoyed our drinks. The staff were nice and food arrived after 30-45mins so not really desirable. We would still recommend the place, esp to people who want to maybe dance and drink as there was loud music and dj plus dance floor. Not sure if we would come back. Maybe we can try other stuff.

A little late posting this review. The venue and the food was amazing! The meals that we had were remarkable and the service was great. Highly recommend if you are visiting Liverpool!

Fantastic restaurant with cool atmosphere, Hannah E. or Hannah nr1, was polite and very helpful with recommending fantastic dishes. A modern take on asian dishes. Only negative is music is little on the loud side and one of the dishes did not quite live up to our expectation. Starters: Wagyu beef carpaccio fantastic taste, pairs perfectly with the truffle mayo. Spiced cauliflower was tasty and had good texture. Main: Sweet and sour pork belly, sadly one of the dissapointing dishes. Pork belly was just dry and not to flavorful. Sauce helped a bit and was still tasty. Short rib massam, just fantastic with the bone marrow. It was pull apart tender and sauce paired well. Recommend. Lamb shank perfectly cooked with a little pink in the middle as it should be served. Tasted fantastic with the sauce. Recommend. Tomahawk char sui pork, cool combination of asian style char sui and western chips and dip. Char sui was very good and a hit of pink inside. Recommend. Fried rice, nothing to interesting just good fried rice.

This place is stunning!! Spread over 3 floors with gorgeous decor and an array of seating options. We went on a Saturday evening and the DJ was a great addition. You weren't having to shout over eachother just great background noise to have a good boogie in your chair. The food is on the more expensive side but we really enjoyed what we ordered- Thai fried chicken and beef massaman were great, did expect rice to come with the massaman though instead of as an extra. The cocktails were beautifully presented and really tasty, great choice too. Would absolutely visit again and looking forward to heading back in the sunshine to make use of their roof terrace.

The venue is stunning, one of the best I have been to in a long time. Service was good. Food presentation was good. So what's the issue? Why 3 star? I ran an oriental food joint for years and been to several restaurant serving similar food, so I think I know what I am talking about. The flavours were lacking. If I blind tasted it, I could never have guessed the dish even though had eaten it least a hundred times. Then add that 3 course and a couple of basic drinks cost over £60.
