Terrible service. Only one or two tables occupied, loads of space but we're told we couldn't have a table for the five of us, no explanation other than "no one to serve you", despite there being a waiter taking an order from one of the tables at the time. They also said they had no tables... despite there being loads right in front of us and the guy who told us this just walked off...I can only assume he couldn't be bothered to actually work during the festive period.

I ate here for 3 nights while working away this week. I have no complaints, the food on each occasion was really nice. In particular Iβd recommend the Mixed Grill and the Ribeye steak. Very generous portion sizes and cooked really well. In addition, the breakfasts in the morning were very good, as far as βhotelβ self serve breakfast go I was very impressed. Iβd also like the give a special mention to Claire who served us on two nights, she was really friendly and had a smile on her face the entire time!

Great Breakfast, fantastic and warming reception from Kelly. Chef Dave attention to detail is fantastic. He was there making sure everyone had exactly what they needed and even helped us out with some more sausages Tyler actually made the experience really special he made sure we needed anything we needed was attended to! Will definitely be back! We had the all you can eat breakfast, which truly was great. Fresh bacon and sausage and black pudding that was cooked to perfection. Canβt understand the bad reviews, the place is a little gem!

Disappointing experience tonight. I have given good reviews to Beefeater, Tamworth previously. However tonight, was really not good, in the end we did not feel we even wanted to stay to eat. On arrival, the Beefeater was not too busy, there were empty tables and we arrived for a 7pm booking. One person was already waiting to be served in front of us, however....5 minutes passed, numerous staff pass-by but no one comes over to serve and we are starting to feel invisible. Two more couples arrive and 10 minutes later we are all still waiting to be served and still no one from Beefeater seemed interested, as staff pass-by on other tasks, it felt like the person on "front of house had gone home". Another party then arrived, the people waiting to be served are now filling the desk area, filling the foyer and now starting a que outside (15 people in total). No one from the Beefeater staff was in attendance or seemed concerned. Due to the service experienced all the customers now waiting, were starting to look at each other and raise their eyebrows as staff just walking by and walking away instead of coming over. At this point, I felt the need to have walk over to the bar area and inform someone of the situation. After informing the Manager of the situation, there was no concern shown so we decided to cancel our booking. In summary, the que of people waiting to be booked-in was unacceptable, given that there were empty tables. But more importantly, no one from Beefeater came over to even apologise and explain why there was such a delay to booking people in.In the end Beefeater staff had to be informed to address the que. In contrast we went to another restaurant that was full for a "walk-in booking", however, we were greeted on walk-in booked and after a short wait in the bar had nice evening.

Had dinner here as a group with work colleagues whilst staying nearby for a work conference. The staff were friendly and helpful but the food took ages to come out. And they accept blue light which was great! The food was decent quality and tasty; however I found my chips to be only just warm and the chicken was overcooked (but tasted good!) The pub is clean and presented well and conveniently situated near to main routes to Birmingham, nearby towns and retail parks which we took advantage of. If the annual conference is in Birmingham next year I would eat here again.

Excellent service! The younger dark-haired waitress was particularly professional, polite, and hard-working; even so short-staffed, she always made us feel attended to and was very receptive to any requests or needs. Absolutely lovely person! The building is very clean, and the food is quite nice (soup tastes a little like Heinz, and the meat can be a little hit or miss), but it's all cooked to specifications, extremely well priced, and worth a visit. My only concern is accessibility; as a pedestrian, it's hard to get safely inside (maybe some sort of crossing or path?). There's a lip on the entrance into the building, so pushchairs or wheelchairs have to be lifted. The doors - even for the accessible toilets - are heavy and awkward to open (some toilets need new locks, or more regular checks for paper and soap). If the building were updated a little, it'd be a very easy five stars. Perfect staff and food, though! Can't praise the wonderful staff enough (I hope management hires a few people to help them out, but also appreciates them; they were so rushed, but so hard working!)

Ate here during a stay in the hotel next door and had breakfast and dinner. Outside is ample dedicated parking with a decent amount of outside seating. Inside, the restaurant is spacious, with a large bar. Breakfast consists of either a hot full English buffet or yoghurts, cereal, bread etc. They also have a selection of juices, tea and coffee. It is all delicious and is a great option if you are staying in the hotel next door. Dinner proved trickier as it appears this restaurant gets busy so I highly recommend booking ahead. Once we did get in for dinner the food was delicious even if it did take quite a long time to turn up.

Spur of the moment visit. Restaurant full but was happy to eat in the bar area. All empty tables had left over bottles and plates. Plenty of staff but they seemed confused whose order went to which table. Toilets were tired with threadbare carpet and sticky floor tiles, definitely needs tidying up. Food arrived, no serviettes or condiments but managed to get three ketchup satchets. Staff though were very friendly and helpful so thatβs why Iβm giving a 4*
