Used the village kitchen for catering on a big event and the food was amazing, the delivery for the event was on time and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I strongly recommend the catering and Charlie’s chicken, I couldn’t believe how good the chicken is! Overall both village kitchen and Charlie’s chicken serve incredible food and service!
Used to be a really good place to get a bite to eat, the full English was very filling. However its not been open for ages and ages. I know they have had a new gas pipe fitted but that can't be the only reason it not open and to be honest it became really unreliable, would it be open would it open lunch time then just didn't open despite activity in the shop. You can't treat customers like that and expect them to be happy. If there were problems a note on the window would have made a big difference.
Every time I have been to Water Orton with a view to visit this cafe i find that it is never open - even Google advises that it is open (today is Wednesday) so I make my way there from Marston Green only to find it is closed. Quite annoying when it's literally the only place to eat hot food in Water Orton at this time of the day - it needs some competition in the area.
CHARLIES Extremely Impressed! I’ve ate a lot of places and travel a lot - Foodie definitely! People will say it’s expensive! I see food another way Taste, Quality and Presentation. This place delivers! The burgers are great -simple yet on the money. The sauce is amazing -1 pot isn’t going to be enough! And the chicken is the star here it’s light coating is crispy and not at all greasy. There’s a hint of herb in there perhaps oregano i can’t tell but it’s there and it will leave a fresh taste -that’s a welcome change to your standard chicken! It’s worth a visit -can I afford to go there all the time no. But worth a visit from time to time - just park over in train station after 1800 -don’t clog up the village folks!!
It’s the cosies cafe, the food is very tasty and the place is run by very lovely & kind people! Definitely worth visiting in when around the area- and great lunch for those working closely.
Great place. I had a Full English and a sample of some southern fried chicken and it all tasted BANGING lol
