The most efficient thing at the OAK Kitchen Restaurant is money collection. They are excellent at that. Everything else is disappointing. Delivery of food is haphazard and slapdash; and the food is not very tasty and overpriced.
Don't be fooled by the "fast food-type" items on the menu. The southern fried chicken and chips tasted SO MUCH BETTER than your usual chicken and chips from a fast food outlet. Came with a nicely dressed salad as well. Well worth it!
The event places always overcharge for simple menu items, the burger was mediocre at best but the fries were way undercooked, the staff did take ownership and offered extra fries after I complained. £18.10 for a drink and burger and chips. Way too expensive
I wish I looked at the reviews before I ordered here. The staff look miserable, the food is not worth the price whatsoever, and overall it was an unpleasant experience. The young girl at the till looked like she didn’t want to be there. She couldn’t even fake a smile throughout the transaction. Being a negative person does not get you far in any kind of work. Doesn’t hurt to be polite. All in all, I wouldn’t come here again, and I wouldn’t advise anyone to waste their money here. I mean look at this ‘Chicken Caesar’ salad and convince me it’s worth £12.95!
The place is clean, staffed like a fast food place. Food is poor and stupidity over priced. The chips weren’t even made on-site, normal frozen oven chips apart from the one on the enamel bowl!
Waited 20 minutes for two teas and two hot chocolates. There was no queue so have no idea what the six people in the kitchen were up to in this time. I can only say don't use the QR code as they seem to ignore it? Got bad attitude from two employees when enquiring about our drinks. When the tea finally arrived we still had to sort it all outselves with milk.
So last year they gave me food that had cream hidden inside with no warning in the cake description making me ill. And this year one member of staff says they are doing basic food sandwiches and sausage rolls. Then at the till they have nothing but cupcakes which isn't food.
Seriously recommend this place if you enjoy getting food poisoning! I was ill for nearly a week after eating one of their wonderfully overpriced, bland burgers. Thanks guys for the unforgettable experience :) Unfortunately, it seems like I'm not the only person that has this privilege... So I guess at least they're consistent!
I’m not to sure what ppl expect This resultant IS going to be very expensive. I paid £13 odd for one fish and chips But your eating inside the NEC. If You don’t like the prices go eat at subway for example which is 1 min away and much better value for money. Hence the que there was 100+ The food was delivered rapid. Honestly faster than a McDonalds … I was actually shocked at I came here at lunch time was it was busy The staff were friendly. Now the food that was really nice. Warm and tasty !! Can’t fault the food. Reason for not getting the extra two stars The table was abit dirty also the portion size was just a bit smaller than expected
