   A special thank you to the staff for going above and beyond to deliver a level of service that’s almost unheard of these days. Although the pub was quite busy for 4pm on a Friday, the team went out of their way to help me find a quiet spot to meet a business contact in the restaurant area. I wasn’t a regular customer — just someone stopping in for a meeting unannounced and just purchasing two Coca-Colas — but the way they treated us made a lasting impression. I’ll definitely be back.

   I had the steak pie and my parent had the liver and bacon. Both were fantastic and I did have the gooey chocolate brownie. I did forget to take the photo but that was awesome too. Will be coming back soon

   What a gem this place is. Very assertive and friendly staff from booking a table to paying the bill. Food was to a high quality and very tasteful. Will be going again at some point due to having a few more dishes that I would like to try.

   We came here to have a Valentines lunch. We were greeted warmly by staff. We hadn't booked ahead of time, but Bettie our server accommodated Us very quickly. I had the beers Battered Black Pudding, with salad and Sweet Chilli Sauce. Followed by the Black and Blue Burger, with homemade Slaw and chunky chips. My partner had Breaded Mushrooms with Garlic Mayo, followed by Lambs Liver and Bacon, with Peas and Pea shoots. The food was cooked beautifully and all the staff were friendly and chatty. We'll be coming back to try something else from the menu.

   We popped in for a bite to eat yesterday after attempting to get food at a couple of other places. It was certainly meant to be as we wanted somewhere with tasty food, a nice ambience and good service. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by friendly staff that was attentive and efficient. The pace of the service was just right. The food was delicious. I highly recommend trying the jerk chicken burger. My friends said their meals were also good. Overall we had a great time and will definitely be coming back.

   Had an excellent roast beef dinner and the cherry bakewell and custard for pudding was delicious. We were served by a lovely young lady who was very attentive to our needs. Would recommend to anyone.
