   Short of words actually, had such high hopes based off a false video, food was sub par and tasteless to say the least, drinks were over priced (4.50 for a cup of apple juice) a plate of just soup cost 12.50 Really exorbitant prices for such meagre food and service, not to mention the small portions. Either improve quality of food or drop down those ridiculous prices. Or best close down the store

   The service was rubbish, not to mention the waiting time. Waited for more than 30 mins for drinks and 2hrs or more for food. And when they bought the food it was wrong orders, dry ribs cold chips, tripe not cooked enough. Ribs were meant to be served with sweet potatoes chips and veggie green but came with normal potato chips and served on a bed of lettuce. The chef claimed that he wasn’t aware that it should be served with sweet potato and veggie greens. We ordered canned drinks but they bought them already in glasses with ice which we didn’t want ice and the bar lady said they just assume that everyone is having ice with their drinks. And the passion fruit drinks (on picture) was out dated with white bits on it and they claimed that what passion fruit drinks do when they open them. The staff don’t even have a clue on what customer service is, they just ignore you, pass you more than 15 times even after making them aware of the problem. I don’t even think the staff understands English, even the chef doesn’t know their own menu. I would suggest that the owner, hire experienced chef and waitress or maybe offer in house training. I don’t recommend that anyone goes to that place unless if they have money to throw in the bin. Check their BBQ ribs honestly. I have never been so disappointed in my life, to think that I traveled all the way from Liverpool for this rubbish. I’m lost of words.

   The food was delicious and tasty. Cocktails were giving. Only criticism is poor service. Our mains were served before our starters. We then waited 40 minutes for starters, as they were cooked but taken to the wrong table. Staff members are standing around doing nothing. The waitress that took our orders was polite, apologised, and gave us a free drink while waiting for starters to be cooked. Overall, it is a lovely atmosphere, nice outdoor space, and very delicious food. Staff need to be better to be more attentive. But I would return because of food.

   I attended Bantu promptly at 7pm last night with a large group of ladies. The event had been planned weeks in advance. Downstairs in the restaurant was almost empty. I was lead through a rabbit warren to a large ice cold room upstairs. And here ensued utter and absolute chaos. The room was not ready upon our arrival. And was not set up to seat our entire group. We asked for the room to be heated. And a portable air conditioning unit was brought in and sat in the corner of the room. No one came to take a drinks order. We were told cocktails were not available at the upstairs bar. Staff were slow and non communicative. 2.30 hours later our PRE ORDERED food arrived COLD, UNDERCOOKED IN PLACES AND INCOMPLETE. Vegetarian members of our group had to wait over 3 hours for plain rice chickpeas and butternut squash. ( Even if they started cooking this upon arrival it shouldn't have taken so long.) When I asked about missing sides and undercooked chicken I was met with silence. I have never expericed such poor service ever. I would never patronize this establishment again. And recommend that no one else do so.

   Servers we’re really friendly and the vegan curry was really really tasty. Plaintain was cooked to perfection and so sweet. Would be very happy to see more vegan options on the menu though as it’s very meat heavy.

   The place was great, nice vibes and friendly staff especially Lisa and Nikita. The food was amazing and it was properly seasoned and flavoursome. I tried the Chicken Feet for the first time and wasn’t disappointed. Will definitely be coming back

   Broke my fast here. Food was Halal. Even catered to my dietry requirements. Removed pork ribs and replaced with extra lamb chops on the platter. Clean interior. Helpful and polite staff. The manager was a great guy also. Definitely recommend. Will be seeing me again soon.

   Let's update this review. From 2 stars to 4.5 stars. New review: My group of 5 people arrived. We were warmly welcomed at the reception and seated at the bar while they prepared our table. However as with most establishments in the city. It is roadside parking. And the parking enforcement officers are very generous when issuing tickets so please park properly. The background music was very calming relaxing and mild. The decor was lovely with many different ornaments, photos and trinkets which is very inviting as you can see from the photos. They also have furniture for children which means it's okay for family gatherings. The general restrooms are upstairs. While the disabled restroom is downstairs. The meal however was top notch. My group had the Seafood and the meat platter which is an appropriate portion for the price. With a very wide variety of different types of meats. However, it's our opinion that the side dishes are very small. The customer service needs a bit of fine-tuning. But overall we had an amazing evening and the general feedback was satisfactory to very satisfactory. Well done Bantu Old review: The ambiance was top notch.. however my crew had issues or a very hard time to get comfortable. Maybe because it was just after restrictions. So am willing to visit again and give a proper review. For now it's a 2 star let us see what happens on my next review.. .
