First visit today and blown away by their range of food and smell of the place when we walked in. Taste of the chicken, chips and burger was delicious! Staff was kind and cheerful and even let me spin the wheel to win a freebie, which I won a burger! Thanks again!
Did some research to find a decent fish and chips shop near/in Erdington. This place isn10 mins away. Super impressed. Definitely go back. Unbelievable portions, so big!
Based on the online reviews I had high hopes but the food and service were distinctly average and not worth the journey. Service was quick, and cod was cooked fresh to order but didn't appear to be the best quality. Prices were comparable to other chippies. They did sell a wide range of items including desserts which did appear popular. Wasn't for me but worth a try if you're passing or local and fancy a dessert with your chips.

A bit late on my review, but just wanted to say this. I placed an order through Uber Eats two weeks ago. One of the items I ordered were the Large Cod and Chips, but when I received my order and unwrapped it, I found that the fish and chips weren't wrapped together like always, but separately, only to discover it was because I'd been given barely any chips, (and when I say barely I mean barely), when I've always received more in orders prior. The chips are meant to be a regular portion, but it wasn't even that. I wouldn't even say it was small. Phoned up to voice my issue, only for the woman on the other end of the phone to say that they were probably just being generous and to put in the notes next time that I want extra chips. Considering how expensive everything is on the menu now, (Large Cod & Chips is now £10, but I don't know if that's just on Uber Eats), you'd think that I'd be getting the same amount as always. It's a shame as I've always ordered from Hawthorn's, but I think I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

Fast delivery, loads of choice and the food is always delivered fresh, hot and tasty. Really recommend this place as I'm not let down and enjoy the food. Portions are generous and always fresh
Great quality food, always busy, which is a a good sign, but mainly due to Uber Eats orders. The shop is not accessible to me as I use a wheelchair and it has a step, so can't give it 5 stars, but the staff are friendly, and when they see me at the door they ask if I need anything. The uber Eats guy also asked me If I wanted him to fetch me anything from inside, which was appreciated, but it is annoying I can only go with someone else and I can't get anything on my own if it's raining and I'm on my own as I can't get in and im sat in the rain. We buy food from here twice a week and fetch some for our neighbour too, quality is always great, but if you get a new member of staff, you can get smaller than usual portions. Still best chippy round here though
