Used to be a regular of Simla but haven't ordered for a while. Partially because I've been dieting but the last curry we ordered from there wasn't up to the old standard so we decided on a break. Ordered tonight and was incredibly disappointed! Will unfortunately be my last order. Only positives were that the delivery driver was lovely and the naan was fantastic. Curry was supposed to have onion, peppers and tomato according to the menu but was just meat and sauce. The rice portion was much smaller than it has ever been - was very loosely packed into the pot. The lamb was so tough it was almost unchewable. I've always been sent extra mint yoghurt which I've assumed was due to me being a regular. I asked for extra in the notes and didn't recieve extra (which I understand as I hadn't paid for extra but it had just become the usual) but actually the pot was literally half the size it normally is! To add insult to injury, I left a review on just eat confirming the above and leaving the rating of 1 star. Upon checking their other reviews, I noticed it had been changed to 3 stars! I went onto the review section again as if I was going to leave a new review just to check and it showed my review with 1 star as it should have been. No wonder they show as 5 stars on just eat! If anyone can recommend a good Indian takeaway in the area then please do. I won't be ordering from here again.

Decided to give Simla Spice a go instead of our usual curry spot and what a pleasant surprise it was! The place has such a warm, cosy vibe and the staff make you feel right at home. The food is absolutely spot on. Full of flavour and really well priced. My dad even said it was the best Keema Balti he’s ever had and he’s not easy to please when it comes to curry so high praise from him! This place has great food and a cosy atmosphere so definitely check this place out. I'd say it's perfect for a small group or family meal up to 6 people.

Online Delivery. Ordered food as arrived late back from hoilday. It was amazing!! Yes its expensive but with the cost of living everything is expensive. As a treat this was amazing will be ordering again. Please can you send me the recipe for that red sauce that comes with the poppadom. It was beautiful

Expensive and small serving.... Food here was as bland as the service, when complaining about portion size looked like a side than a main. The Indian waitress was so rude kept saying its a main even commenting to the other staff that im complaining made us feeling really uncomfortable, waitress trys to talk nice but her face shows rage. Very expensive and very small servings. Won't return.

What has happened to simla spice?!?!? I've ordered 3 times this month! The food taste different and horrible! I've been ordering from here the past 7 years! I can tell the difference between curries easily! Has the chef left simla spice?!?! The lady in the front is extremely rude! Won't be coming back here ever again.

I've been going to Simla Spice for many years years. Always good food and friendly staff. My son and his family and friends are regular customers also.
