I ordered a large regular aka full sugar coke which was an eye-watering £5. It came in a pint glass, flat, and with one ice cube. Within minutes it was fully flat so I asked for a fresh one. They returned with a coke zero. I sent it back a third time and ended up with another flat coke which was weirdly salty (?). Felt like it was out of a plastic bottle. My butter chicken came with tandoori/masala style chicken breast, demonstrating that it hadn't been cooked fresh in the sauce. It wasn't therefore authentic. My friend's paneer in her paneer masala was really bland and she didn't eat it. When the manager came to ask about the food, we mentioned these issues. He told us that we ordered bland dishes and that's why we didn't like it, implying the fault was with our lack of understanding and expectations. The bill arrived and he had knocked 10% off but then he proceeded to guilt trip us, "I won't sleep tonight", and asked us to take more of the food home to try again. He told us that he has lots of regulars who come back and therefore again implied that the fault was with us. It was quite an uncomfortable and disappointing experience.

Great food, but can be quite loud if many guests are in as the space is a bit echoing.

A tasty restaurant with plenty of options and very large portions at a very reasonable cost. The six of us were staying locally so an easy stroll away. The starters were excellent and very plentiful. The only slight issue is that the restaurant does not have an alcohol licence so you have bring your own if you want to accompany your meal with that.

Food was very nice with good service. As with North Indian/Bengal cuisine there is a high emphasis on spice which can be lowered on request. On time of this review the restaurant was under work knocking a few points for atmosphere. Overall this is worth a try if you want to try Traditional Bengal Cusine.

Just back from what was possibly the worst service I've ever had in a Birmingham curry house. Took 90 minutes for us to receive our starters, and that only seemed to arrive after we asked when they were going to arrive (we issued an ultimatum if they didn't arrive within 3 minutes minutes that we were leaving). When they did arrive (with 30 seconds left) my wife's veggie samosas were cold in the middle and my (and my pals) Sea bass starter firstly looked nothing like sea bass, more like a heated up frozen lidl lemon sole with some curry powder on it (I've had sea bass many times and this was definitely not that!). The onion bhaji ordered by the rest of the table were passable in fairness bit nothing to ring home about. We mentioned the cold samosas and after 10 minutes of waiting for them to replace them and still nothing we asked and complained to cancel the mains and leave. They refused to admit any wrong doing or mistakes and claimed that we had "rushed them" and take no responsibility. This was all whilst their kitchen had takeaway orders flying out and the serving staff gave us no update or apology to our poor service. Eventually we left after agreeing to pay for the piss poor starters. I will never return here. Poor service. Rude. And the food that actually managed to make it's way to the table (that wasn't cold) was bland. Avoid

The food here is quite nice but we booked a table for 8pm, weren’t seated til 8:30, we didn’t get our food til after 10pm I think. Really disappointing. There are other good curry places in the area so I probably won’t go here again.

Bit cold as went early evening. Later it was fine. Delicious food. Good portion. Fresh. Smell good. Best service. Friendly staff. Highly recommended. As Glaswegian we were fussy over food options but very satisfied after visiting.
