Excellent menu and staff. Everything was very fast despite the restaurant being fully booked. They served anyone who was even a moment free. There's a separate dessert menu.

The best Birmingham has to offer. Food so good, I forgot to even take a picture of it. The staff are exquisite, so attentive. There was a unique energy in the room, you could just tell everyone was loving what they were eating. We had a couple in their 80s next to us, totally in love celebrating their 60th anniversary. And a couple in their 20s the other side, celebrating their 1 year anniversary. Nowhere else could you find a restaurant so full of love for food, for patrons, for each other. Also, enjoy a photo of the best smelling bathroom in Birmingham. It's the only thing I remembered to take a picture of!

I had a wonderful birthday dinner here today. The service from Sammy and the others was exceptional, he was so attentive and even went to the effort of bringing me a personalised menu to take home and a delicious dessert! Thank you so much! I especially recommend the courgette fritti. Thank you to Tropea for making my evening so lovely.

We visited Tropea for our anniversary and honestly couldnβt have asked for a better experience. The service was incredible. The waiter really went above and beyond to make the evening feel really special. They even personalised our menus with βHappy Anniversaryβ printed on them, which was such a thoughtful touch. The food was absolutely outstanding. If you love authentic Italian food, this place is an absolute must-visit. We loved the intimate atmosphere and the way the staff made everything feel so thoughtful and personal. Tropea made our anniversary unforgettable. Highly recommend!

Very interesting Italian experience. This place specialises in small plates (like tapas) and with its own modern twist on the cuisine. It's certainly a popular place and they only just about squeezed us in with an extra table. Booking in advance appears to be a must. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and took their time to explain how the menu worked. The menu is relatively short and your food is served in the order listed on the menu. Some dishes could be adapted for dietary requirements. The service was very relaxed and unhurried - the idea is that you savour each dish. The food itself was fantastic: full of flavour and beautifully presented. Prices are on the steeper side, and I would have preferred a bit more food on the plate for the amount I was paying. But that said, we both enjoyed it and we would probably go back again as a treat at some point. Bonus points for having accessible toilets with a baby changing facility!

The food was lovely with simple clean flavours and well presented. My only comment would be that all the three dishes had slightly more salt than needed but that could be a personal preference. I also liked the fact that there was no service charge added to the bill. I would definitely recommend the duck ragu, lamb dish and beef cheek with polenta!

We had a wonderful first visit to Tropea last Friday. Wonderful service and amazing food. Courgette flowers, burratta, duck parpadelle, ricotta ravioli, ox cheek and tiramisu. All accompanied by a lovely bottle of valpolicella. We'll definitely be back to try more of their wonderful food when they reopen. Thank you, Tropea!!!

Absolutely delicious food and friendly, attentive service. The courgette flowers, burrata, ravioli, prawns - well, actually everything - were amazing. Beautiful flavours in a small but absolutely perfected menu. Can't wait to visit again!

Tropea is a lovely independent cafΓ© during the day and restaurant during the evening. They have a really good brunch, with vegetarian and vegan options. Amazing scrambled eggs with mascarpone, Italian sausages and freshly baked ciabatta. Coffees were nice as well! Staff is friendly and ready to help with anything!
