Food was ok Samoas looked frozen then deep fried, food a little over priced, £16 odd quid for a lamb tikka is a bit steep. The location of the restaurant is strange and it look a bit tired on the outside and greeted by 2 females hopping of a bus to use the rear of the restaurant as a wild toilet, it came across like a discussed service station. Service was good but was not busy at the time so was one course after another. We only went as it was down the road from the hotel we stayed at, but it appears they rely on passing trade or takeaways more. It was different to our usual Indian back at home. If I was to visit York again I don't think I would return to this restaurant

We were staying locally and decided to pop in and try this Indian restaurant. It was the best Indian food we have had. We ordered a veggie platter for 2, chicken korma, mushroom rice, and chips. Every dish was tasty, fresh, and hot. The food was served very quickly. The staff were very friendly. It had a great atmosphere and was not too pricey. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

Food flavour is ok, not amazing, not bad. Dishes were a bit watery. Onion bhaji is 2 onion rings, no joke! Bit expensive for the quality. Service was great and the atmosphere is really nice!

Disgusting food. Made me throw up the day after. Shocking service. Waiters were looking down their noses at us and we were told off for not telling them how many of us were coming when we called to make a reservation. Surely this is their job to ask? The restaurant was next to empty anyway so not sure why they were soo angry at us. We were treated poorly and the decor is shockingly bad too. Atmosphere horrible and dim mood. Poor selection of buffet options and everything was badly timed. For menu items the starters came last and the mains came first. Not a great experience and will never ever come back here again. I want to give 0 stars but no option to do so. Please don’t eat here.

Came here on a whim after losing the will to cook when I get home. I was pleasantly surprised to see it I do love a good curry so I had high expectations for this place & they delivered. Their meat curry was pretty decent, cooked well and succulent. The chicken dishes were a bit dry, might well be because they were being kept warm they dried out or overcooked. Then the desert selection was not vast, the portion was literally the equivalent of 1 profiterole in a little ramekin. A small small serving of milk cake with fruits in. Overall its a decent place for a standard curry and I would definitely come again. Though the floor is very uneven so you end up tripping as the lumps blend into the maroon carpet.

As soon as you walk in to the restaurant there is an unpleasant, strong, musty damp smell. I had seekh kebabs which were overcooked and tough. I had a keema jalfrezi for my main course. It was very dry in texture. The accompanying chapittis were hot and tasted good. Service was polite and attentive. Overall a very disappointing meal made worse by the overpowering smell of damp.

Ordered from the Agrah this evening and was not very impressed. Chicken tika masala is far from a masala and the tub is full of oil & what looks like water. Chicken has not been cooked on skewers I'd say cooked in a frying pan nor has it been marinated. Pashwari nan bread absolutely dripping with oil and pineapples and raises just thrown on top. Not something I expected and this needs to be added to the advertisement. I wouldn't recommend this place at all but was worth a try.
