   Arrived at 6.30 and the place was very quiet only few customers eating. All the staff smiled and said hello , they Immediately pointed out that the kitchen was closing early and apologised, but were happy to put our order through. Two of us order different types of steak. My sizzling strips were tender and cooked perfectly. The onions and peppers are frozen so not a great deal of flavour in them , adding salt helps. Lovely fresh side salad and I tried the Mexican pasta. This was very mayo covered not overly exciting . However I have had a lot worse and the chefs are following company menus. The other steak was again well cooked and presented accompanied with fries, mushrooms, onion rings peas. A very filling tea. The pub has a great variety of seating to suit everyone, from individual to large family. Nicely decorated and very clean pub. All the staff were friendly

   Drakehouse Mill is your slightly better than typical Hungry Horse. Pub grub prices with matching food and environment. Never had any complaints with the food when we're in the mood for the no frills hearty pub classics. Waiting time can be a little longer than usual, past few times it's been down to staffing shortage when we asked - but nothing too crazy or off putting. Decent layout with plenty of nooks and crannies for a semi-private feel when your eating, never tend be be sat on top of others. Staff always seem friendly enough, again, no frills. Will likely keep popping back now and again.

   Been to the Drakehouse Mill for breakfast and as always the service is amazing. We were served by Tracey who was very polite and professional, even put my milk in my tea for me as I couldn’t open the milk. Would recommend this place 100%, they never fail to deliver. Also big shout out to Ross who always makes you feel more thank welcome

   If I could give zero stars I would. We booked our Christmas do there and wow what a mistake. The food was terrible but we didn't complain as we were still having a good time. Then the manager came out in an aggressive tone and said I've heard you don't like the food? We said we didn't like some courses but not to worry then he said we made a waitress cry! We weren't nasty or rude and the manager made us feel awful. I would avoid at all costs and go to McDonald's instead as you'll get better food and a better service!

   Mmmmm ... We had the nachos for starters. These are homemade, weird & bland. They arrived with no salsa when asked, we was told they didn't have any. I had the Tikka Stack, firstly this had never seen tikka sauce, it was like cheap curry sauce from the supermarket. The onion bhajis were soggy, the chicken strip's were over cooked & chewy, the poppadoms tastes like fish, disgusting! My husband had the 12oz rump, in his words chef knows how to cook a steak, but it was flavourless & chewy! The whole place had an unclean feeling, menus sticky & the staff table in front of the bar was filthy & cluttered. Would'nt return, wouldn't recommend.
