   A group of us booked for a Christmas meal. We arrived to a very welcoming environment. The table was well presented with Christmas crackers and serviettes. The 3 course meal was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. The service was professional and friendly, going above and beyond to cater for all our needs. Congratulations to the chef and staff. It was a most enjoyable start to our Christmas celebrations.

   Called in here after been kicked out of a local pub because our under 9s football team were to young for the area we was stood in . We wanted lunch so left the team to celebrate a cup win in the travelers and went to the droppingwell as we used to come here loads so was happy to see it had been updated and was looking great , we was found a table even though it was really busy . We ordered food and drinks it came really quickly I had the pulled pork burger and my wife had the turkey pudding wrap both were excellent and good value . The place is good for all types of dates or occasions we are planning to book more after team meets here if we can , come on the under 9s eccesfield Spartans.

   We thought we'd visit somewhere new for my nannans birthday and we're glad we picked here as it was great. The food was nice and didn't take to long to be served given that there was 9 of us. The pub is nicely decorated and I thought the prices were quite cheap considering the portion sizes.

   Tasty food; very reasonably priced. Service is always with a smile. Someone on a close table had an afternoon tea celebration, which looked wonderful and far too much for 2 but they managed it over a couple of hours. It's now our 'go to' place for a long lazy lunch.

   Went to the Cher tribute night. Had a fantastic evening. Top artist in a really great venue. Food good, tasty and hot served by a team who obviously enjoyed their jobs, nothing was to much trouble. Beer good, wine good, and pitchers...... Looking forward to going again. PS often stop here for lunch which is also excellent. Recommended.

   Was visiting the area and called here as staying nearby. Excellent choice on menu (also can be viewed online) and all sensibly priced. Lovely atmosphere, comfortable seating and clean. Meals were huge, one of us had half roast chicken and another had battered cod. Both excellent and high quality. Asked for unusual drink and custard with our pudding,both requests very happily accomodated and was no trouble to them. I wish this was local to us as we would visit every week. Excellent value, great food, perfect service. Just how all pubs/restaurants should be.
