Several vegan options available, highlight was the vegan passionfruit cake. Vegan options included: falafel and chutney sandwich, dhal, soups and bread. Staff were friendly and helpful in helping people in queue for food. This was just my personal preference but I would have liked another option for vegan sandwich/wrap that was a bit more simple like vegan cheese and tomato or something and maybe another cake option as well or a hot dish that had roasted veg and potatoes with it, like others could get (but this is just my preference others would like the vegan options more). The vegan passionfruit cake was delicious, nice atmosphere cafe with clean toilets nearby and cafe next to one of the gift shops. Would come again.

Exceeded expectations! Both lunch meals we had (southern fried chicken and fishcakes) were restaurant quality and extremely generous portions! Service was quick even in very busy lunch rush.

I don’t usually write reviews but felt the need to amongst these poor reviews! My partner and I had a great lunch here, really quiet and clean not like I’ve seen in other reviews. I thought it was good value for money, £10.50 for the pictured jacket potato, although I will agree the sandwiches looked very pricey for what they were. The ladies working were really lovely and friendly to us also!

Tasty food and friendly service from the staff. Had hot drinks and cakes which were reasonably priced for the venue, but pricier than the typical chain coffee shop. Managed to get a nice table next to a Christmas tree. Cakes and hot chocolate were delicious. Tables weren't being cleared very quickly, although worth noting it was very busy. Will definitely return.

Disappointed to find that the cafe was closed despite opening times online suggesting it was open until 5pm. As a result, we purchased a hot chocolate from the outdoor stand. Extortionately overpriced for what you can essentially make at home and bring in your own flask and the drink was served with spillage all round the cup! We were hoping for a lovely seated hot drink and cake with our little one, it being his first visit to Chatsworth. Agree with other recent reviews, unfortunate as the grounds are beautiful. A visit to the tea rooms at Edensor, on the other hand, are well worth a visit.

Very slow service at the hot food counter. Both the Pulled pork & the bread it was served in were very dry, Poor all round; not up to usual standard

Always good and always friendly staff wouldn't expect anything different from anything to do with Chatsworth.

Soup ok but coronation chicken sandwich totally tasteless. Awful.

The vegetarian/vegan option wasn’t amazing but the seasonal veggies and potatoes were lovely. The cakes were also amazing! However the prices were very much on the high side, especially considering the portion size.
