Booked the Christmas weekend to visit Chatsworth and enjoyed an overnight stay at The Peacock at Rowsley. Dinner needed to be pre-booked. The room is modernised but retains its traditional old Tudor-style stone building charm, nice and clean. For dinner, we had fillet steak and a superfood salad. The service was lovelyβthank you for the hospitality.

Went for food there after a walk. Unfortunately very disappointing. Overpriced. Nicely presented but the chips were rubbery. Hardly any salmon in the scotch eggs. The burger bun was dry and a pretzel bun didnβt really suit the burger. The burger meat was nice. Homemade. Great attentive service. Lovely atmosphere. Wouldnβt go again for food. Drinks would be fine

We stayed 1 night after visiting Chatsworth House & Gardens & Christmas Market. I have eaten at the Peacock many years ago but never stayed, its fabulous. The situation within Rowsley village is beautiful with ample parking. We were greeted very warmly on arrival and offered drinks and coffee. The lounge is very cozy and comfortable with reading material to sit and relax. Our room was a suite with every facility you needed from coffee/tea making facilities, radio, TV etc. The furniture is excellent and bed linens and drapes very high quality. The superking bed was like sleeping on a cloud, with a wonderful mattress topper. Beautiful products in the bathroom also. Great shower ! The full English breakfast was delicious, with great staff serving. Check out again was friendly and every effort had been made to ensure we had a good stay. Im sure we will be back in the future, our stay was excellent.

Me and my Husband stayed here for one night recently at the end of a short break for our mini moon. The staff were fabulous throughout our stay. So helpful, friendly and professional. Our room ( suite) was beautiful. The Sunday evening menu was absolutely fantastic. Couldnβt fault a thing. Thankyou for making our last night so special.

A lovely stay at this beautiful hotel. The staff were absolutely fantastic and made the stay even more memorable with their professional, friendly and attentive service throughout. The restaurant was excellent, where the quality of the food was superb. The Location is great and for those who enjoy fly fishing, you have the Derwent (wading) and Wye (bank fishing) rivers. To make the experience even better, you can get a local guide to be with you, providing expert tuition and river knowledge. I had βBernie Mβ which was a real privilege to learn from such a well qualified fisherman. We will return as this is a special place; a thoroughly enjoyable few days. Thanks to everyone at the Peacock.

Boutique hotel, great location to access the peak district and Chatsworth estate. Good service. It has an electric charger for cars- this could do with being stated on their website. Bar is great and nice breakfast.

Fantastic experience all round. We found the dining hall to be a little quiet for our liking but the food and wine was excellent.

We have eaten here most times we travel to Sheffield multiple times in the last decade. We love going to The Peacock, our last visit, the food was the best so far. Even though the pub was busy, ordering from the bar was so easy and the food came flying out the kitchen. Canβt wait for our next trip back so we can sit outside again :)

We stayed for two nights in a superior double and loved every aspect of our stay. Check in was a breeze - given clear instructions about our stay/breakfast etc and then given the key. We ate/drank in the bar - service was very attentive and the food was superb. The staff in general really couldn't do enough for us - we asked for a taxi and this was arranged without any issue. I'd recommend The Peacock without reservation.

Lovely Hotel in great location. Very friendly staff who answer any of your questions with a smile. It has easy access to Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall both worth a visit.
