This is quite frankly the worst meal I have experienced in any pub / restaurant. The food (Sunday carvery) took 45 minutes to arrive. It was cold and all the vegetables were stewed and clearly had been prepared earlier and just left to warm up as and when required. When we asked where the Yorkshire puddings were, “oh, we forgot to tell you we had run out !!!!” The meat looked and tasted like it had been prepared with a chainsaw. The roast potatoes were at best aunt Bessie’s warmed through an hour before. Once the food arrived we waited a further 10 mins for cold plates and cutlery to arrive and only got them because we asked !!! The people on the next table who were there before us, waited an hour for their food and when it arrived the staff had forgotten that they had ordered a starter. Everyone who was eating in there had issues with food and/ or service. For what they wanted to charge, you would expect better than average meals!!! We just left. It was awful.

Unfortunately running late for the booking, called to notify them & they were friendly & helpful. I ordered the cod dish which was beautifully presented & tasted delicious but the portion was v small. I also ordered an affogato but no vanilla ice cream. My friend ordered the lamb Sunday dinner, excellent meal & portion size although lamb was a bit too fatty. Also ordered a glass of wine which wasn't served until main course nearly eaten which was disappointing. Advised the check wasn't put through.

We only stopped in for some coffees on a weekday morning as we passed but we were not disappointed. Coffee was really delicious, decor inside was quirky but lovely and the teepee was the icing on the cake. Very dog friendly and all staff were chatty and welcoming. We can’t wait to return for food and drinks at a later date!

Christmas is coming when the teepee is up. Cosy by the fire. Unique experience on a cold winters day. High quality food but not cheap. Amazing hot chocolate. Spectacular autumn colours on drive out to Hathersage. A must visit before Christmas.

We dine in without any reviews searching, just because of way back from Derwent Dam , saw very sharp orange colour parasols, and found a public car opposite area . While sit on felt good for the outside dining area , and foods menu look interesting, first time saw soft-shell crab dishes on Pub foods . Delicious beyond my expectations on both meals . My wife meals with real King-prawn . They with a very high standard chef and kitchen team member . Thank you for let us with a gorgeous lunch . Servicing staff also very good . Highly recommended, and we’ve told many friends after the dining . 50mins to drive here from home, but will plan come again .

An Exquisite Dining Experience at Bank House Having heard rave reviews about Bank House, my partner and I decided to give this fine dining establishment a try, and we were certainly not disappointed. From the moment we stepped in, we were instantly captivated by the elegant and sophisticated ambiance, setting the stage for what would be an unforgettable evening. The menu at Bank House boasts a diverse array of expertly crafted dishes, each one more delectable than the last. Our taste buds were treated to an extraordinary culinary journey, with every course skillfully prepared to perfection. The presentation was equally impressive, showcasing the chefs' exceptional attention to detail. Complementing the exquisite food was the extensive selection of drinks. With an impressive range of wines, spirits, and cocktails, Bank House is a haven for those who appreciate a well-rounded dining experience. Our knowledgeable waitress, Erin, was on hand to provide excellent recommendations for pairings. Her suggestions elevated our meal to new heights, harmoniously blending the flavors of our chosen dishes with the accompanying beverages. Speaking of Erin, she truly made our visit to Bank House exceptional. Her warm demeanor and attentive service ensured that our every need was catered to, making us feel like valued guests. It is rare to encounter such remarkable hospitality and professionalism, and we cannot commend Erin enough for her efforts. Bank House exceeded all our expectations and proved to be a truly memorable fine dining experience. The combination of brilliantly crafted food, an extensive selection of drinks, and the outstanding service provided by Erin and the rest of the staff guarantees that we will be returning to this gem in the near future. If you're in search of a dining experience that truly stands out, do not hesitate to visit Bank House. You won't be disappointed.

Went along on Sunday for early dinner, booked earlier in the day and did not expect to get in but I think the snowy weather was on our side. We have eaten here numerous times and we have always been very happy with our choices. The Sunday lunches are especially fantastic. Staff are friendly, building is nice. Will be back!!

Fabulous dinner with friends, a lovely atmosphere, very festive. The only negative was the cooking of my steak. It was very medium rather than medium/rare. At the prices charged, it needs to be spot on. Other than that, it was a great evening

Called early evening and really enjoyed the food. There is good selection of small and large plates.Service was friendly and we could take the dog inside. There is also plenty of outdoor seating. It's smarty decorated inside and would be a nice place to go dressed up to have cocktails and a special meal.

The food here was absolutely incredible, could not recommend it enough, couldn't fault it one bit. I had the pork belly main and it was just cooked so perfectly. Service was great and cocktails delicious (we had a few!). The cookie dough desert was out of this world, one of the best deserts I've ever had. It was a perfect evening!
