Friendly staff and the food was amazing! The lamb shank was cooked perfectly. If you are out and about in Hope Valley definetely recommend to visit the Bridge Inn in Calver.
Dropped in on the off chance as other pubs had packed carparks. We were passing the Bridge Inn and decided to give it a shot. Staff gave us a warm greeting and very pleasant. We ordered a Steak and Ale pie and Chips and a Gammon Steak. Wasn't really expecting much, however the presentation of the meal was superb, everything cooked and grilled to perfection. The chips were the best I've had in a very long time. Service throughout was spot on. Would absolutely visit again and will actively seek a return next time we stay in the area. We'll done to all the staff, top notch!
Absolutely loved our evening here. The staff were friendly and helpful and brought a highchair to us for our baby. It's really kid friendly and the food was top notch and absolutely gorgeous. I'd say better than some high end restaurants. You've definitely got a returning customer after tonight. Thank you so much to all the staff. This is also a dog friendly pub with an area where no dogs are allowed. I think this is a fantastic idea whilst inclusive for everyone.
We're very lucky to have this place as our local pub. In winter we enjoy going in for a quick drink after a walk in the beautiful countryside, warming up by the open fire. In the summer, it's great to enjoy the light evenings in the pub garden. Food is good traditional pub food. A small but generally good selection of beer on tap. And always warm and friendly service
Lovely atmosphere and decor, polite staff and gorgeous food. On the more expensive side, but the quality made the price worth it. Will be returning when I'm next in the area.
When the sun is shining the Inn has a really nice beer garden with children's play area. Good pub grub at reasonable prices. Staff are all very friendly and helpful.
Make this the start and finish of a popular 3 mile walk nearby. It takes you a circular route along and across the river Derwent, leaving you ready for a well earned drink. The pubs clean, welcoming and has onsite parking. Ample spaced out seating in the grounds with a nice view of the river.
