   Came for a meal with my family tonite. I couldnt have been made more welcome. The service was fantastic. We had a cake but I cut it up for the family and he took some away and put candles on so they could sing happy Birthday. The kids got lollies and ice-cream.

   I'm kind of gutted to write this because I did once love this place. I used to order a bhuna but every time it would be totally different from the last. I last ordered a tikka masala and it was even sweeter and creamier than a korma, even though the description is spicy and tomato based. I've noticed that another review said how spicy the tikka masala was! So we obviously were given two completely different dishes! I'm sure they just give you whatever they have cooking at that time and hope for the best.

   My partner has been coming here for many years and it’s her favourite place to eat curry! Initially I wasn’t convinced - the building is quite dated and looks like an old car showroom converted into a restaurant. It’s very oldskool in it’s approach (Bring your own drinks) but looks can be deceiving and if you can see past the dated amenities you have an authentic restaurant with great food. Garlic Naan’s here are 10/10 and unrivalled by anywhere else in Huddersfield. Service is great and the owner is incredibly friendly and welcoming! As somebody relatively new to experiencing The Raj, I’d recommend it to anyone

   Got 3 different curries lamb chicken and keema to share all amazing. In my experience restaurant curries never seem to be as good when got as a takeaway, well there are from here. Can't recommend highly enough best curry I've ever had.
