We were recommended this restaurant by a local and were not let down. It’s a fabulous, old skool Indian. The food was delicious and the service was great. We shall be back soon. Thank you.

NOT GREAT We booked for 8ppl unfortunately with illness only 5 came, we were told they would sit is on a table for 4 with an end chair which we felt was very tight and asked to be moved but was told no even tho we had booked for 8ppl so they should have had room, to top it all 2 of us who had the onion bahji starter got 2 bahjis that were that dry that when you tried cutting them they flew in bits and wasn't very tasty at all, then we ordered the mains, 3 of those were lamb kahris but unfortunately it should have been called onion kahri with a hint of lamb, we eat curries at different locations every week for years as a lads night out, even tho the kahri tasted nice it lacked a content of lamb. All pretty disappointed even with the sides and won't be back in a hurry as much better places around and not a patch on the destination restaurant in the same village, lesson learnt

This is first time I have sent in a review . Our family visited on Christmas Day . We ordered traditional Christmas dinner . We received the following : Six tablespoons of clear liquid in a small metal bowl which was supposedly chicken soup with a hot dog roll for the bread . The dinner consisted of : Two water saturated pale sprouts, 4 watery chunks of carrots, chopped down chunks of deep fried potatoes supposedly roasted potatoes , turkey , four stuffing balls of which I did not receive thankfully and gravy . The dessert was a cone shaped kulfi taken obviously straight out of the packet with no sauce, wafer . For the above we paid £39.95. We ordered six adult meals and three children’s meals the children being aged 4,6 and 9 . The service was chaotic . We repeatedly told the waiter we were waiting on the children’s meals which eventually arrived . We left most of the meal as it was so bad . We paid our bill and left . The next day we checked the bill and noticed we had been overcharged. We had been charged for adult meals for the children . I telephoned and spoke to a gentleman who insisted they were too busy to look at my invoice so I told them I would call back the next day . I telephoned again and was told no problem we will refund you if you have been overcharged . My husband called down next day . The manager was very rude and insisted we had been charged correct . He began to raise his voice . At this point my husband told him to lower his voice and as it was apparent they were not going to refund the overpayment he left . Having been in this industry for over 20 years I can only say we will never visit Monsoon ever again .

Went there yesterday. Lovely restaurant and very welcoming staff. Starters and mains were delicious and were reasonably priced. Will definitely be returning.
