   Amazing freshly cooked food, served on a hot plate. Halloumi burger and fries was nicely presented and tasted great. Coffee was lovely and it was nice that it was really hot and not luke warm as in lots of places. Great service, lovely chatty staff.

   I love this pub and its views over the Cheshire plain. It’s everything a lovely, family friendly pub should be. The new menu has so many options I wanted to try on my first visit it took me ages to choose. That’s a great start in my book. Elektra the chef and manager is so passionate about what she does. She’s done all of the redecoration and the pub feels much cosier and it was really warm and welcoming. We went for the Quiz on Wednesday night and had dinner beforehand. For those of you who don’t have the time they provide EPIC chip butties in the break at the quiz which disappeared in seconds to help us with our brain power! It clearly worked as we won. It was lots and lots of fun and cheered me and my sister up immensely. Dinner was delicious as you can see from the photos. I’m going back asap with my taller better half to dive into the burger menu and fish options. My sister will be back with her young family as she thinks it a a great place for a family meal as Harry her ten year old loves calamari and you can’t get any in Frodsham. Bella will love the cheese burger or pizza and the adults will have pie.

   Have been here a few times as we like to camp out nearby and have been underwhelmed . On reading that it was now under new ownership and judging by the good reviews we decided to give it one last go. What a transformation. I will start at the bar, a good selection of premium lagers and the old faithfuls plus a couple of cask beers. Couldnt decide whether to chance it on the cask so the Barmaid pulled me a sample of each to test , still slightly apprehensive. I ordered the pale ale with the assurance that if I wasn’t happy with it then just bring it back and she would replace it with a lager of my choosing free of charge. How’s that for service ! Now onto the food. We ordered the salt and pepper chicken skewers as a starter to share , just as well as it would probably constitute as a meal In itself on its own. Delicious. For mains I ordered the steak and guiness pie and the wife ordered the fish and chips. Best fish and chips we have had since Whitby and the pie was as good as I have ever had and believe me I’ve had a few. Staff so attentive without being over intruding . Doing all the right things. A winning formula as far as I am concerned. Highly recommend.

   We went to the travellers rest New Year’s Eve for the first time and we was made to felt very welcome as soon as we walked in. The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly couldn’t help us enough. We would definitely visit again if we are in the area.

   We went for Sunday today. Staff were really friendly and couldn't do enough. Great banter to and knowledgeable about up coming events. Food was spot on and plenty of choice. Really tasty and big sized portions. Can't wait to go back xx

   Absolutely fabulous food. Service was amazing too. Manager couldn't do enough to help us. Stayed at local glamping site with a short walk to the pub.. I would definitely drive from my home in Liverpool just for one of there gorgeous meals. We went on a Saturday evening and then we loved it that much we booked for Sunday roast.

   Me and my partner visited this restaurant in November and couldn't wait to return again today, the food is delicious and amazingly priced. The staff are fabulous, so friendly and can't do enough to help you.. we will definitely be back soon enough for another lovely evening.. thankyou to Polly, Rob and will xx
