   Still a lovely atmosphere and very good service. We’ve been coming here for years but the food wasn’t up to the usual standard. There is a noticeable reduction in the quality of produce, which is a real shame as prices continue to go up so we expected the same standard in food. Also noticed the shrinkflation in portion sizes, normally we struggle with 2 courses but not on this occasion. Brie should ooze when cooked, this was more stringy like mozzarella and not very warm. Squid was fine, nothing to write home about. Roast turkey was average, nothing to complain about but it used to be wow nice. Happy to pay £45 for per head (with 2 drinks each) if the quality is there, it just wasn’t up to normal standards sadly. Party of 5 so not like it was a tricky sized order.

   Four of us went yesterday lunchtime and everything was excellent. Wonderful atmosphere, very well decorated for Christmas. The food was excellent as was the service, Kirsty who looked after us very friendly and efficient. Highly recommend.

   Great pub food, great servie and a decent selection of cask beers served. Also, my 5 year old daughter has coeliac disease and there was a vast selection, id sat two thirds of the menu of gluten free options, with the waitress clearly clued up on cross contamination and preparation measures. The food came quick, was well cooked and tasted great. Our waitress was really personable and friendly. We would be definitely back and recommend to friends and family.

   We always enjoy eating here (and got married there back when it was the Lord Binning) but last Sunday for my birthday was even better than usual. Perfect pink beef roast. And was there nutmeg in the red cabbage? Amazing. See you again soon!

   Popped in with wife and aunty for lunch today with little pooch in tow . Went with a recommendation from friends and am delighted to find the food , ambiance and service was impeccable from first minute to when we walked out . My meal was the fillet steak which along with dessert and coffee afterwards were the best meal I’ve had for very long time . Well done to all involved especially Narin who looked after us like family

   Second visit here, consistently good. Fantastic service, very welcoming and beautifully decorated for Christmas. I had venison pie which was stunningly good. Can't wait to return!
