This was our second visit and it was as good as our first. The food was excellent and the servers were very informative and helpful.
Visited The Old Siam — just around the corner from our hotel while in York. The atmosphere was cozy and romantic, and the service was excellent. Our waitress, originally from Thailand, was so friendly and great to chat with. We shared a wonton soup and the Gaeng Keow Wan — both were delicious, perfectly balanced, and full of flavor. In short, if we had found this place on our first night, we would have definitely returned. สวัสดี
Went in on a Tuesday for the early bird menu served between 5-6:30pm, and it was quiet with only a few tables sat. Exceptional food and service I couldn’t fault. Dog friendly too which is always a bonus
A Delightful Dining Experience at The Old Siam We had an absolutely wonderful time at The Old Siam in York. The service was not only highly professional (thank you Toon!) but also incredibly kind, with special mention to our amazing waitress Ida, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for throughout the evening. We opted for the Early Bird menu and were thoroughly impressed. Every dish we tried was bursting with flavour and beautifully presented; truly a testament to the kitchen's skill and attention to detail. Thank you for offering such a well-crafted menu, with exceptional execution and warm hospitality. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!
So lucky we meet the owner. Food is very amazing. Authentic Thai food. No doubt why they are the oldest Thai restaurant in York. Highly recommend

Fantastic quality, best Thai food in York. Standards very high. Ordered chicken wings for starter followed by pad thai and red prawn curry. Couldn't finish it all, cannot wait to come back
This place was the best Thai food I’ve had in Europe, and I’ve been to Thailand multiple times! We went back multiple times because the food was just that good. Full of flavour and incredibly authentic. I would recommend this to anyone going to York. 10/10! Was affordable too considering how wonderful the quality was.
