   Well, I have tried lots of Indian restaurants in my life and there are only a few I can count on. Nabies in St Helens was fabulous in its day and I have yet to find another resterraunt that comes up to par. Well today I have. Zaika resterraunt in Alford Street Widnes. Absolutely authentic and tasty, (I am talking about the takeaway service). I will visit the restaurant to see if consistency is still there. Definitely get a takeaway. It arrived and at first I was cautious because it apoeared greasy but wow what flavours, all the meat was fresh, all the vegetables fresh. I would definitely recommend it if you want to taste true Indian food.

   We have visited Zaika on numerous occasions, and have always found the staff to be lovely, friendly and very accommodating. The restaurant is newly refurbished with modern decor. The food is fragrant, flavoured and well presented. Hussain, Tayef, Samin will go through the menu and offer their recommendations to suit your pallete. I would highly recommend this restaurant as it offer lovely food and atmosphere.

   To the nay-sayers. One, we’re not in India. And two, if a plate is cold; it’s supposed to be cold. I’ve eaten in Mombai, the food is for the English palette. And is second to none in that regard, with flavours subtly building the more you eat. For the service and atmosphere: Went on a Wednesday at 8pm, pretty much had the place to ourselves. Food was almost instant and the staff (including Hussain, who was amazing) were very attentive. If you do go, check out the specials; well worth the extra

   Came here tonight 30/10/2025 for a takeout (for 5 people) it was ordered and told it’ll be ready for 6pm for collection. First impressions are they have done a great job with the decor and fitting also they’ve made it a bit more compact but still plenty of tables, plenty of light inside to make it really cosy. My food arrived bang on 6pm We ordered a variety of poppadums and chutneys, starters and mains all 5 of us thought the food was absolutely top notch really fresh and tasty the lamb jalfrezi was spicy and punchy and will be ordered again. The staff were polite and attentive I picked up a menu and the special of 5 courses at £15.95 (available 7 days a week) looks likes a great deal for the quality of the food I will be booking again.

   Love this restaurant. Order 2 takeaways now for delivery. Delivery was about 45 mins so acceptable of course. Had chicken tikka Masala one of the nicest I’ve had in a long time. Chicken was tender and the sauce so creamy. Onion Bhaji gorgeous will definitely order again. Great price good size portions. Delivery guys so friendly . Everybody needs to try Zaika you will not be disappointed

   The food is just delicious from the starter to the mains loved it all. The garlic and corriander nan was one of the best I've had and tasted. Full of flavour everything was at its best. Very nice place. Would highly recommend to give them a try.
