We had a table for three. One Sunday Roast, two Hunter's Chickens, Crumble of the Day, S' Mores Brownie and Scoop of Ice Cream. All food was excellent, as was the service. And the pub itself is a really cosy 17th century building full of charm. Easy recommendation!
We came to two Christmas events, breakfast with Santa and breakfast with the grinch and we had a great time at both! The breakfast options were good and tasted amazing, staff are lovely too
There was 8 of us the food was ok but the amount of meat on 4 of the beef,pork and turkey dinners would not feed a mouse. You should be giving 2 decent pieces of meat on a Sunday dinner. Mashed potato very poor.
Lovely meal tonight. Attended by a waiter called Archer, who was brilliant, both respectful when we were quite happy left alone, but also attentive when we wanted to order. Enjoyed our meal and the atmoshere
Tonight I visited with my two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels Simba and Loki. I was served by Emma for the evening. I was very surprised by how speedy service was - noticeably faster than your average place, especially for a very bustling Saturday night! I was completely put at ease as someone visiting alone, Emma was super approachable and helpful. There was even a doggy menu - I was delighted! We were sat near the bathrooms but this meant the dogs got all the attention and people were so kind. I ordered the steak, medium rare, and it was cooked exactly as I wished. Everything was delicious and I was very happy to leave a tip. If only we lived more locally!
Friendly staff and good food, TVs at the bar if you wish to watch sports. Large garden out back looked like itβd be good when warm outside.

Unfortunately the day we had lunch, they were understaffed and very busy due to the Christmas season. We didn't receive 2 of our dishes and drinks arrived after our food but our waiter was very apologetic and kind. We would come back in the future as the menu looked incredible, just don't show up on busy days.
Impromptu breakfast visit after a bit of early shopping in Frodsham, we got there not long after opening. Place is in a lovely building and well decorated. Manager was straight over once we'd chosen our table, couldn't be more welcoming, and took our order, including options, without writing a thing down. Our order came out exactly right, and in quite little time. Delicious. They have quite an extensive menu, so we will definitely be back again. I imagine it's a good place for a few beers on a Friday or Saturday night too. Nice one Alfie. And thank you!
Came in on Saturday night for a meal. The food was excellent, especially the sea bass. Service was really friendly especially Zara on the bar and Dan on the floor. Will definitely be back..
