Belting pub with lots of choice in both beer and food, I had the pie and it was delicious.... also jam rolly poly with custard, it was exactly like my nan used to make! Deffo be back!

Lovely pub, did a great job accommodating for our large family birthday party (12 people). The food was delicious, all cooked to perfection and fresh. Maybe my only qualm would be that portions were too big- only one member of our party finished their meal, and we didn't get the chance to try any dessert!

19th FEBRUARY 2025 ‘Wandering Wednesday’ this week took Hubby Neil and I to a place we’ve never been before. We took a little drive out just up the East Lancs to St. Helens, to a proper old pub called ‘The Colliers Arms’, the food was very similar to a few weeks ago at the Nevison Country Inn, delicious home cooked food and not a frozen morsel anywhere. The three ladies running around had everything under control, the pub is small on the in side but every corner was put to use, the car park was packed and that to me says a lot about the food! Waiting time was just cooking time, all the food was fresh and piping hot. We skipped the starters with looking at the plates when we entered, a starter for us definitely wasn’t needed! Entrées: We saw the dish of the lady next to us and decided we wanted the same! Homemade steak and onion pie, with thick chunks of steak, onions, rich gravy covered with homemade short crust pastry, accompanied with thickly cut fresh carrots and green beans, perfectly cooked Al dente, along with chunky, hand chopped, proper chips, crispy on the outside and lovely and fluffy on the inside….. we had a side of garlic ciabatta, loaded with melted cheese, a small ramekin of olive oil and balsamic for dipping, an extra bowl of chunky chips. This place is a little gold mine and a country pub hidden little gem, it’s most definitely a place to try, go early to avoid not getting a seat! Would we go back? I think the above has already answered that!!!

We recently had a fantastic meal at the Colliers Arms. The steak was cooked to perfection, the fish and chips were crispy and delicious, and the cock and bull was a hearty and satisfying meal. The food was all incredibly tasty and reasonably priced. We'll definitely be back to try more of the menu!

Looking for places to eat we found this gem and the truth is that it was the best decision, the atmosphere of the place is pleasant, the staff very friendly and the food delicious, everything we ordered was good and you could see in every bite the quality of the ingredients, the dishes very well served and the refreshing drinks. It's definitely a place we'll go again.

Delicious foods with quantities. When there many times and never disappointed with foods. You can’t book the table, but never wait more than 15 minutes that’s fine. Enjoyed drinking while waiting.

Went for lunch with my wife 21st September 22 on the recommendation of our granddaughter. The menu was varied and there was a specials board too. We chose the hot Beef and Onion baguette served with chips and a pot of gravy, which was delicious. The chips looked pale but they were moresome, fluffy potato on the inside with a lovely crunch on the outside and plenty of them. The baguette was warm and filled with plenty of warm lean beef and onion, yummy. Even giving a shout out for the gravy, I dipped my chips and the wife her baguette. There's a vast selection of beers behind the bar but as we were driving I had coffee and wife had water. Will definitely be going back again, highly recommended.

We had a enjoyable lunch today at The Colliers Arms in Kings Moss following our long walk in the area. There is a good selection of Cask Ales. The is also a great menu selection and we each had a very tasty baguette with a different filling. You can choose to have either salad and coleslaw or chips with it. We sat outside in the beer garden at the rear. The canopy looks like a recent addition.
