   1 Star – Really Disappointing Experience I rarely leave negative reviews, but my visit to The Red Cat Pub was poor from start to finish. The young waitresses seemed completely uninterested, and the service reflected that. After waiting around 45 minutes, we were finally told that a quarter of what we had ordered wasn’t even available. When I raised my concerns with the manager, the way I was spoken to was absolutely disgusting. I’ve never experienced anything like it. At one point she actually said, “Would you like to look in the kitchen and see how busy we are?” I was genuinely shell-shocked. The place itself looks great, but if you want to receive what you’ve ordered and expect even basic good service, I would avoid this place, unfortunately. It was a massive letdown. I can’t comment on the quality of the food because we ended up leaving before anything arrived.

   Great country pub with lots of drink and food choice and always a warm welcome. The log fire is worth it in winter and outside the terrace has heated booths and blankets for the best views across Merseyside and wales. Old building with lots of charm and character especially when you read the history of The Red Cat local witch legacy.

   Absolutely gorgeous meal, very reasonable prices and big portions. There was a bit of a wait for food but servers warned us beforehand so it wasn't a problem. The only unpleasant thing about the meal was the couple sat by us, who were being extremely rude to the servers and loudly complaining about the wait between their two meals being served. For crying out loud it's a pub, not a fancy restaurant - eat your food when it arrives and maybe it won't be so cold! Other than that though, lovely meal and I would definitely recommend this establishment.

   Rainy day was no problem as the beer garden has cover. Dog friendly staff with excellent facilities to look after dogs, water bowls and treats. Very friendly staff nice pint, great food and relaxing atmosphere.

   Just so happened to come across this lovely pub. As soon as I entered , really friendly and welcomed by locals and staff. Relaxed atmosphere. Dog lovers and have a small dog section where food served . Dog offered treats, menu for us was really unique to other pubs also. Lots of vegetarian options also. Food delicious. Good value for money. Definitely will visit again.

   Our first visit to the Red Cat in five years. The new owners are doing a cracking job of modernising the pub. The outside area is starting to look great and we'll definitely be back for a bite to eat soon.

   Starters were nice but very overpriced then had the roast beef which was absolutely bland no taste whatsoever to the roast potatoes or Yorkshire pudding. Very expensive definitely not worth the money & the burger was massive too big no taste not at all enjoyable.

   I went here for a Sunday lunch and I wasn't disappointed. Large portions and tasty. Staff on the other hand took ages to serve us drinks and dessert. Waiting almost 40 minutes after ordering desserts for them to come. They also seemed to be quite vacant and flippant at times. Definitely worth a trip just for the food, but be prepared to possibly wait between courses.

   A friendly environment with hot and tasty food. The staff here are really friendly and helpful and appear to enjoy their work! The Sunday lunch is exceptional! Very reasonably priced menu. Loads of free parking directly outside their door. I've eaten here before and we always go back! I'd definitely recommend eating here! Their Choc Maskaponi pudding was delightful!
