   Truly awful experience. Papadums were stale — complained — replacements were just as bad. Ordered at 7:15, still no food by 8:40. When dishes finally turned up, the plates were dirty with dried curry stuck to them. Asked the waiter and he shrugged it off as the chef spilling it. Rice was clumpy and unpleasant. We walked out, and several other tables were doing the same after waiting far too long. Avoid this place.

   Absolutely brilliant food and service tonight. A huge shout-out to Nadeem and Tanya who were both incredibly welcoming and attentive throughout our meal. The dishes were fresh, hot, and bursting with flavour. Truly a five-star experience. Highly recommended!

   From superb to a massive let down in one year! We have had several takeaways and meals at Maazi Matlock and was really looking forward to it, but our latest takeaway, (yesterday), was very poor, the rice and naans were fine, (though one naan was a little scorched), 3 dishes were pooled with grease, with little flavour containing whole garlic cloves and the tikka masala was a weird pink colour and had a funny twang. We all felt that we should have never left the kitchen and we should have sent it back! We did phone to give feedback and was offered a replacement and beers with our next order, but by then it was too late!

   One of the best curries I’ve had in years, and that includes a lot of trips to India. The garlic chilli chicken was so good. Amazing flavours, plenty of heat without killing the taste and just the right amount of ghee/oil. Pari and Tamya were great - 10/10 food and service!

   Atmosphere was lacking, but in fairness it was a rainy, cold ,Monday evening in November. My meal.was lovely, but there wasn't much meat on the half chicken my husband had. Service was good, it had been a few years since my last visit, still a lovely restaurant

   Went last night for date night, beautifully presented restaurant, staff were friendly and attentive. They did make one mistake and brought the starters out twice but this was quickly rectified and our mains didn’t take too much longer. The food was delicious! Very satisfied customers will be returning

   Haven't been here in 5 years since I was last in Matlock but this restaurant was still as good as I remembered! Fantastic food, excellent service, loads of great dairy free options too which is great as a lot of less authentic Indian restaurants just pour cream in everything. If you're in Matlock do yourself a favour and try it out!
