We have just had a fantastic three course meal at The Tavern. The food was outstanding and you would think three courses for £19.95 would mean small or low quality purchases and this was not the case. I can recommend the Salt and Pepper Chicken starter, Rump steak and chips followed by the Biscoff cookie dough and ice cream washed down with two tasty pints of Guinness. Rachel provided an excellent and friendly service and made our visit even more enjoyable. We will be returning….

Had an absolutely scrumptious late lunch today. The burger was hugeeee with a generous serving of skin on fries and homemade slaw Safe to say I certainly did not have room for dessert Service was exceptional, Karl was very attentive and friendly and made me feel very welcome especially as I was dining alone Thank you

Lovely lunch with my sister. Great welcome by Karl, professional, attentive & friendly. Staff were interested and friendly. Special ‘2 Dine for £20’ food was really good. Cheesecake was nicest I’ve tasted. Took a look at one of two function rooms. Lovely place, deserves custom.

A fantastic pub with a great selection of delicious classic pub food. The food is reasonably priced, the seating is comfortable and the staff are super friendly, a very pleasant experience.

Great afternoon at the monthly Golden Oldies event at the Tavern today. Lovely food, service from friendly staff was very good considering how busy it was. Great two course deal and we managed a naughty pud as well. All this and an entertaining singer and bingo. What a lovely way to spend an afternoon with friends.

Nice place. Drinks are a bit pricey. Can book out rooms for events. The food is lovely but little portions for the price. Gluten free options available. That is a gluten free afternoon tea in the picture

I love the pub itself and the surroundings. Staff were friendly but the food was not great sadly. I went on a Monday evening for my birthday. It was basically frozen French fries and limp burger for myself. The other meals were not great but edible. The service was better than that of the church view up the road who had no food at all. I hope this pub ups its game as its a lovely pub.
