This is the best Greene King I’ve been to. It’s just had a massive refurb and looks very modern. It has a big TV wall with the match on the big screen. Next to it on the smaller TVs next to it with sky sports news so you can monitor the other matches at the same time. It has a fab dart board also that adds up your scores automatically. Toilets are spotless. My first meal here was burger and chips and it was fresh with some lovely sea salt on my chips. I was on lemonade and it was nice and tasty! Fully recommend this place and it has a nice size car park to make it easy to drive there. Monday nights is Speed Quizzing which is great fun, free to play and you can win a gift card as well.

I thought I would give this place another chance due to the refurb, place looks amazing, friendly and nice atmosphere. My food arrived, I cut into the chicken and took a bite, cold, I felt the chicken it was ice cold to touch. The barman was very helpful and friendly, he apologised and took my meal back for a replacement, my replacement arrived, I touched the food it was piping hot, unfortunately it was extremely overcooked this time, I was unable to cut the chicken, it was like a hard ball, the rest was burnt to a crisp , I am not sure if this was done on purpose due to my complaint of ice cold food This is such a shame as it’s a lovely pub, please consider replacing your chef as it appears it’s the same one from the Observatory, or train the chef to a better standard

31/07/2025 - very different menu than were used to. Food was very nice and very good portions. For 2 people we paid £36.72 for everything shown in the pictures. Food was served piping hot within 10 minutes at a seminar busy period. Staff were very friendly. Checking in on us and the guy behind the bar was very friendly ensuring we had the best experience possible. Thank you to all the members of staff for a positive visit.

Food is good when they actually have it. Have visited numerous times only to be told when ordering that they don't have what I wanted on the menu as they have run out. Need to sort this Hungry Horse a one off I can understand but it happens every time I visit

Went for sunday breakfast because they had an extensive very different menu which looked great and i must admit they need commending on...hubby had the American steak an eggs which he loved we totally forgot to take photos, me and our son ordered a traditional full English, sadly the bacon was burnt, I like well done bacon but this was black, sausage was overcooked, beans cold, eggs well done and hard, hash browns mushrooms and black pudding cooked to perfection, we was the only four people ordering food and three men drinking in the pub so they weren't busy. We did get a full refund for mine and my sons breakfast and an apology. I only gave it 3 stars because hubby and granddaughter enjoyed theirs.

Member of bar staff said she was on her own.whenfood arrived peas were cold, definitely no heat had been near them, crust on pie was made of concrete and pie itself appeared to have the left over bits of a steak, fat and gristle and even a tube of some part of animal.used to enjoy eating here,

Alright food for a pub. Don't expect anything overly amazing. As for Gluten Free options from what I can remember there was a few options, like I said don't expect anything amazing. But overall clean, tasty and easy to park at.
