Delicious food always! Takeaway or eat in, they never disappoint! This time round we decided to do our Diwali Dinner here with friends and the staff managed us so well. Very attentive too. Theres a reason why they're always so busy, food and service is fab!

Never a fault when we go and never a disappointment when entertaining family or guests there. My father always asks what’s the occasion when we take him there as it feels so special to him … we just tell him .. it’s another Monday !! ( or whatever day it is ! ). Yes it’s very special because the ambience is lovely and most importantly the good is great and attentive service from the welcome on arrival to the farewell and see you again when you leave and the entire experience in between. Helps to know what to order as we know what we like but everything we seem to try new on the menu each time we visit doesn’t disappoint too! Portion size generous and piping hot tasty food never wasted. It is an indulgence coming to Taipan but well worth it and so like my father asks; don’t wait for an occasion as life’s too short .. go experience it for yourself !

Are they connected with Thai pan express just round corner ? If not, one of them must surely change their name. Express is a truly bad experience where tai pan is definitely worth a visit. Prices are high but it is a nice experience and food is very tasty. Really liked the soft shelled crab and the sizzling scallops in black bean sauce is always a winner. Their online booking is useless however and need to get into the 21st century, no one ever answers the phone and online is a definite wild goose chase..

We celebrated with a group of 11 guests and were accommodated (little tight but cozy) in the back room. The food was really excellent with fresh flavors and good service. Loads of vegetarian options and I think we ordered just about every vegetarian starter and main courses. Noteworthy mock duck, lettuce wraps and aubergine stir fry in soybean sauce were my fav. Dessert was ok! Wish they had been more creative with the mains as the bulk were prepared in soybean sauce.

It's been over a year since I last visited Tai Pan, reason being that they raised their prices to a level of stupidity. My girls are always crying for Tai Pan food that I decided to allow them to get a takeaway and now not only is it expensive, but the quality of food has even turned my young girls away. Crispy duck.... Coated and soaked in oil that all the "crispy" bits had to be thrown away. Not enough sauce, not enough cucumber and spring onion. Plain fried noodles... It's not like it was before. Absolutely no seasoning and it looked like they gave remnants from another meal as all the noodles were small pieces Egg Fried rice... Good Crispy asparagus with chilli... Very sweet. Not spicy Chicken in black bean sauce... Overcooked chicken but decent like always. The biggest downside is the pricing. I called to place my order using the takeaway menu from just over a year ago and there is a MASSIVE price hike. Β£7 for plain noodles that I could have got for 50p given the poor quality. Half crispy duck was Β£27 last year and now Β£33 But the biggest kick up the back side was the chicken in black bean sauce!!! Last year it was a reasonable Β£12.50, and today's price is Β£16.90. I understand price increases, but not at this level. This is just a price hike because they are based in Northwood and they know that there will always be dumb patrons like myself that will go!

Came here on a Friday night for dinner. I would urge anyone to make a reservation beforehand as it does get busy. We got the sesame prawn toast and softshell crab to start which were so crunchy and well seasoned. We also got the har gau (prawn dumplings) which were also really nice, I would definitely recommend. We got the quarter duck which was sensational, crispy skin, so tender and delicious. Unfortunately, the beef sea spice chilli sauce was not chilli and it lacked real flavour- it was almost watery- this was the downfall of the meal for us. We also got plain rice. The service was good and the food came out quick, just didn’t like that the main came first. All in all our bill came to Β£73 for two without drinks which is reasonable. Definitely a good place to try some duck pancakes. Parking outside is free after 6:30pm

The best Chinese you will ever taste. Exception service. We celebrated a birthday here tonight and the manager wearing the suit was extremely accommodating. We love the food here it’s all fresh. We will be back soon!

Lovely Chinese food which has maintained its high standards compared to other local similar restaurants. The prices are high but the quality is up to scratch. An extensive vegetarian menu and the salt&pepper broccoli is particularly good.

After complaining that our take away was off to the point the food had bad smell and slimy texture the manager asked if we could take the food back for her to examine. On arrival she refused to accept that the food was off and I was treated with rude comments from herself. It was an appalling display of management, to the point she went on to make accusations to myself of putting water in the food to make it seem bad. Never in my life have I witnessed such a poor service from a restaurant that is supposed to be reputable. completely unacceptable.
