Another Thursday and another great tasting curry at Achari! I keep coming back for the truly great food, authentic flavours and great hospitality! I have been frequenting Achari for over 20 years with family, friends and my dad every Thursday! We both enjoy Achari for its great tasting authentic food and the super friendly staff, they are truly great and make you always feel welcomed. It is great to see the restaurant vibrant and busy, just a truly great local restaurant. Achari do not offer parking and they have never asked where I have parked. The restaurant is in a residential area, so be prepared to walk a short distance from your car if you find a space. Thank you so much for a great meal, experience every time! Lee and Bob

We were brought here by our British of Indian decent taxi driver after we discovered Zayani was closed due to roadwork, and another restaurant called Raniz was at the Google location listed for Zayani. Everyone was very nice, the papadams included a hibiscus chutney that was special and specific to this place. The restaurant was filled with Britβs, Indians, and Americans. We ate several courses, and were happy with each. The spice level is very mild, so if you like spicy, go for something marked with three hot peppers. The level one is for babies and Brits. Being used to Mexican food in Colorado, the level one was just not enough kick. Let me assure you, the markings for spicy were British spicy, not Indian spicy. Service came with some smiles, and as much information as you need, in case you arenβt familiar with Indian food. It got very loud, thanks to an American older man holding court. Once he left, the sound level was fairly mellow. Our favorites in London are Veeraswamy, Amaya, and Chutney Mary. This is no where near that level. This is a working personβs hearty, authentic, economical meal with large portions. Worth a visit for sure.

We were very disappointed at our last visit. We had enjoyed it many times in the past, so two weeks ago we took our friends. They live near and we're looking for a good addition to their regular spot. We returned as a couple and ordered the same dishes as we had many times there before. The difference was I ordered in American accent so the server, not our regular one, first tried to sell us the more expensive cobra in a bottle and we had to insist on kingfisher draft, which was perfect. The dansak had a fraction of the lamb before, it was it all tomato flavor sauce and 3/4 lentils. The garlic Nan was not fluffy, as before. It is sad as we used to enjoy it and would bring friends. All I can think is that they assumed we were tourists who knew no better, had not been before or wouldn't return. They were wrong, except we won't return. Pity the server who would recognize us was not there that night.

Well what can I say, we held a celebration Christmas office lunch for our staff and from start to finish the service and food was amazing, we had chosen a selection of curries (butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, chicken shashlik, lamb bhuna, vegetable karahi, mattor paneer) rice and sundries for 46 guests for collection, on arrival we were seated and asked if we wanted a drink, the food was all boxed up and we were helped to the car. At the office we had food warmers although the foil containers kept the remaining items warm throughout, each and every dish was delicious, everyone enjoyed it so much and there were compliments all round, it really made our lunch feel special, thank you so much Achari, we will definitely be ordering again!

This restaurant was a pleasant surprise. Didnβt plan on going here, but ended up loving it! Food was delicious and the price was very fair. I highly recommend this place even if you donβt typically eat Indian food.

The decor is very nice, the presentation was good, and I found the staff friendly. However, the food was terrible. The person checked on me and asked how I found the food. I told him the truth. That I think itβs not fresh and microwaved. The person admitted it, saying they batch make it and because the weather is hot, he had to reheat it., rather then leave it out like some other restaurants do. I appreciate the honesty, and that he doesnβt want me to get food poisoning, but do you really except me to pay Β£15 per person for a reheated flavourless curry? I asked the waiter to recommend what he actually eats from the menu, because I am looking for authentic food, and his answer was, he doesnβt eat any of the food here. - thatβs all you need to know.
