   It’s an airport hotel restaurant at The Thistle, and the food was perfectly fine. In terms of value I’ve had much worse for much more expensive. The veggie bites with blue cheese were divine. Very pleasantly surprised and makes this airport hotel my no1 favourite for value.

   A good bar close to the airport.. A lot better / nicer than it used to be thanks to a refurb. Pleased to see that they have got rid of all the high tables near the windows and replaced them with lower more relaxed seating and tables. An awesome outside terrace with exceptional views of one of the runways. Bar is part of the Thistle Hotel (which has seen better days, but) is under renovation so could be promising. One of the best thing about the hotel is the Pod which takes you directly to T5. Our go to hotel for a cheap over night when flying from T5.

   Was an absolute wonderful experience here, to being greeted straightaway, to having such delicious food, one of the best burgers imo!! Tasty and came out super quick! Couldn’t recommend this place more as they have tons of options for food

   It's ok. The best feature is the bar outdoor area overlooking the runway. The food is adequate but not outstanding. Service is ok and prices typical for the area.

   Stopped at Thistle for a night before our flight early the next day, and so we went for food in the Aviator Restaurant. We weren’t disappointed. Food came out piping hot, and service was good albeit a little slow waiting for our mains. Struggled to hear some of the waiters over the noise in the room (music mainly), but this didn’t affect our visit. Topped off by a table next to the window, so we could see the planes taking off while enjoying our meal.

   Didn't have the Steak or Seabass. What I ordered came within 2 mins suggesting it was Microwaved and the quality of food was shocking. Mash was chewy? 1 star because the staff were friendly.

   We ate in the bar area where we able to choose from the main menu. More intimate atmosphere than the restaurant. The Chicken Tikka Masala was delicious.

   Terrible food. 45 minutes later we had asked how long our mains were going to take. The waitress said I will ask the chef to get your food ready now. An hour later our food finally came. Overpriced for what it was. Could make something tastier from the local supermarket freezer section. My poor kids were too tired to even get half way through their dinner. Dont waste your time and money.

   In all honesty I would give a 1 star rating, but am being generous with the 2 stars purely due to the view. The view is great if you like plane spotting and like looking at the runway. The food however is terrible. The starters were OK, but after they were served, waited 45 to mains to come out. Service is not to shout about either, no apologies for the delay in food coming out, and at which point my toddler was in tears of hunger. Dreadful experience. Would never visit this place for a meal again, no way!

   Sadly lacking, roast beef and horseradish sandwich....well it was more like mayonnaise than horseradish. Grey beef has never been to my taste either. It was requested on white, so granary that turned up should really have set the scene for us. The meatballs promised so much more, but failed, sour tasting sauce, dry meatballs and served so quickly the bowl was still hot from the microwave. Garlic bread, crusty, and not in a good way. Oh and silly me I asked for a desert menu, I gave up waiting as I didn't wish to wait until another birthday passed. The fries were nice.....
