The portions are generous, and the fish was battered and cooked as we waited. The best fish and chips in the area thst we have had. The owner really seems to care that people have a good experience and that they enjoy his food.

Best fish and chips shop I've tried in Surrey (I've probably tried about 10). Friendly service, good portion size, fresh mushy peas and tartar sauce as well as crispy chips...actually the only place I've also liked the mushy peas from! Others taste like they came out of a can. Drive out of my way just to get my fish and chips here!

Loved their fish and chips. My friend said itβs her second best fish and chips in the UK. As for me it was the best one. The service was really good too.

If you want fish and chips in Cobham, this is the best choice. Always freshly cooked food, served hot with the friendliest service. The food is consistently very good, and even when itβs busy, the staff are always happy which makes any short wait time easier to handle. We love this place.

The chips were crispy and crunchy and hot,10 out of 10. The cod was lovely too, hot and crunchy. And the right size not too big not too small. Really friendly service from the older gentlemen he was so welcoming and warm, made me feel right at home.

Visited this fish and chips shop and I have to say I am extremely pleased to have done so. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by the amazing staff who were so friendly! The food took less than 15 minutes to be ready and my highlight was getting home and trying their nuggets and fries, they were so crispy and delicious! Will be definitely going again!

Hands down some of the best fish shop food iβve eaten and I spent my childhood in Cornwall. I ended up eating Β£35 worth of battered goodness in one greasy sitting. All human reflexes left my body and I simply devoured every last amber coloured flake of batter. The next day I spent the morning in the shower, contemplating the animalistic impulse that washed over me, undoing millennia of psychological evolution in one crispy bite. As much as Iβd love to return, I simply wonβt be able to contain myself if I were to go back to this chippy, I may devolve to a lower state of consciousness. Because of this fried establishment, I must contemplate a life without Cobham Fish Barβs scran. This leaves an immensely sad feeling within me. I hope you enjoy their food as much as I did. As for the comments relating to the wait time, the wait is irrelevant. If youβre visiting for some stale trawler caught cod, then look elsewhere. The fish is cooked right before your very eyes by keen employees that exist only for us humans culinary enjoyment. They show a genuine interest in the customers day and diligently go through your order to ensure that there are no dinner-time disasters. This team envisage βQuae Sursum Sunt Quaeriteβ.

Pleasantly surprised. As others have said you need to wait because itβs cooked fresh. Great fish, good portions and decent chips which is quite rare these days. Definitely 5 stars. (Please start selling gravy!)
