Stayed overnight on a work trip to Chester. Very hospitable and cheerful host. Didn’t get to eat here but I still had a couple of pints. I’m sure I’ll stay again when I’m in the area
Lovey stay! Was our first break away with our 5 month old, was sceptical about house being a pub and staying a Friday and Saturday night, nonissues without noise levels and near enough silent from 9pm onwards. Spacious and clean room. Friendly staff and lovely surrounding village. Free parking right by room entrance. Comfy bed, mini fridge which was handy with little one. Highly recommend and would stay here again!
Great place to stay,very clean and the host could not be more helpful. Very quiet,and well situated a short drive from Chester.
We booked the pub with booking .com for a stop over on route to the Isle of Man TT. Sat down to a lovely roast beef evening meal and can highly recommend you pay them a visit. Update: A return visit was booked prior to our long road trip home. And as before very welcoming and comfortable.
Nice welcome from Landford nice beer room was ok apart from no heating, bed was a 3/4 I myself took most of it only 12 inches to spare each side, otherwise was ok

Room was dirty on arrival with bugs crawling around, black mould in all areas of the room which made the room stink. No hot water at all and when I complained as I have a baby and couldn’t stay as there’s no hot water the owner was awful, no apology, extremely rude and didn’t fix the hot water , his solution has been to take all my money for the stay that I haven’t completed and ignore my request for a refund, the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had . Wi-Fi didn’t work either. I honestly wouldn’t stay here at all
Amazing place, top notch location. The mask told me to say the locals were a little bit loco, and they were, but lovely with it. Excellent accommodation, top notch attentive staff, clean and comfortable, we had an excellent nights sleep. Recommended very highly.
Fantastic stay with the new owners at the White horse!! Food was delicious and great portion sizes. Reasonable costs. Room was really clean and comfortable (ceiling slightly thin as you could hear others moving but this can't be helped it's just the building type). Great play list in the bar too!!
