Ok, so this is part of the Chef & Brewer chain, but does not have the same menu. There are some really nice dishes on here that were enjoyed by all. The only fly in the ointment was due to three party bookings having transferred in from an adjacent restaurant that was unable to open at short notice, so the service was a bit slow and you had to catch passing team members to get things ordered and chased up. Otherwise, I look forward to a meal back there sometime in a less busy future!

Went for lunch today and had a fantastic time. The service was exemplary, friendly but efficient from Sarah & Paulie (spellings may be wrong, my apologies). The food was cooked perfectly, portion size was generous and very good value for the quality of the food. The whole experience was one i would recommend, and we will definitely be coming back soon. Thank you.

Such a welcoming and helpful reception. With 2 beautiful neurodiverse grandsons who find restaurants unsettling, suggesting use of your function room was a superb idea. Thanks to all the team and especially to Judy.

Lots of interesting car meets happen at this place to drive business. Food is good and they can normally handle large crowds

Positive: This is a nice family restaurant with a pleasant, quiet atmosphere. We visited as a group of 10 and found the overall vibe welcoming. The food was tasty when it eventually arrived. My medium-rare steak was cooked great, the peppercorns sauce was delicious, Bruschetta was nice too. The waitress serving us was friendly. Negative: Unfortunately, the service was extremely slow. We were seated at 6:40pm but didnβt receive our mains until just after 8:30pm. By then we were basically starving so we ate very quickly, no longer than 10 min. The plates werenβt cleared until around 9:20pm. (Took 10 min to clean 10 plates, I timed it as it was getting ridiculous) Due to the delays, we decided to skip dessert entirely which was unfortunate as we were very keen to try some( not that they asked if we wanted any) We even ended up going to the counter ourselves to pay, as no staff returned to our table. The area we were seated in was uncomfortably hot, several of us had to take turns stepping outside to cool down. We asked if a window could be opened, but nothing came of it. Additionally, when a fork was accidentally knocked to the floor by the waitress, it was never replaced. While we understand that serving a group of 10 can be tricky, the restaurant wasnβt particularly busy. In fact, compared to another restaurant we visited days earlier with the same size group, the pace here was disappointing. Sadly, based on this experience, our group wouldnβt return.

Stayed in the Premier Inn next to the Fairmile and ate in there each night. Food was of excellent quality and well presented. Tried different main courses each night and wasn't disappointed with any of them. All of the staff were extremely helpful, and if you get Sean waiting on your table, you'll get well looked after.

Christmas Eve dinner was fabulous. First time at the Fairmile and we had such a lovely and relaxing dinner. Staff were all so friendly and welcoming. Efficient and prompt food service. We were seated at the perfect quiet table with no other guests. A roast dinner can often be a rather drab affair with poor ingredients which ruins the whole meal or if the kitchen doesn't know how to cook it properly. This Christmas roast turkey was a very very good plate of food. Good quality ingredients. Roast potatoes cooked in goose fat - made a difference. The turkey meat was tender and juicy. All the vegetables and stuffing cooked to perfection - bear in mind this is in a pub not home cooked. To finish off - enjoyed the tasty Christmas pudding. Thank you to all the staff at the Fairmile pub for making our Christmas Eve dinner so greatly enjoyable.

The location and big open green that surrounds this pub is very beautiful. ThΓ© pub itself is also speciously big with many different rooms makes it an ideal place for function hiring. Unfortunately there was only one vegetarian option in the menu and the food was not that great. And because itβs a big place it took a while to get the staff attention, and we had to wait a long time for the food to arrive. So, it made the staff seem very slow to take orders, and server.
