We have just had a fantastic Sunday roast, the food was amazing with melt in the mouth beef, veg were just perfect and the gravy is really something else. All credit to the chef, everything is cooked to perfection. The part of the restaurant we sat in is brand new and the atmosphere was perfect, quitet and very relaxed. Serving staff are polite and make you feel very comfortable. Thank you so much for a great meal. Will definitely recommend The Wicket.

I’ve just come off the phone with the manager. Who was shockingly unhelpful, patronising and unapologetic. I had my 33 year old brothers funeral wake there and it was awful. I paid £870 for room and gold buffet. People came in to a cold dark unlit room. The memory table was not set up. The staff were miserable, unhelpful and rude. There was no music on in background. The atmosphere was terrible. The buffet was awful and was put out late after prompting. There was a lady standing guard of the buffet doling out tiny portions. I was incredibly awkward. At one point she told me off for trying to serve myself some hotpot. The sandwiches were dry and cheap. They did not lay out enough for 50 people. When I complained - I was told they would have made more if more was needed. There was a couple of pieces of tiny chopped up cheap cake. That is not what I paid for. People would not believe I paid £870 for this and more importantly my brothers wake ruined. I will never set foot in the place again.

What a great dish! Probably the best lasagna that I had in the UK. Proper fresh homemade. Compliments to the chef!

Wow, unbelievable transformation, got to say though expensive on some drinks, nearly London prices

Visited here after a relative's funeral service. Food was very good and the bar service was speedy and friendly.

Such a lovely place good beer, massive outdoor area and good food. If you want to catch the sun while drinking this is a great place. Lots of room for kids to play if you have kids. The only slight negative is when they are very busy you can be waiting a while at the bar.
