We did a takeaway. The chicken biryani and lamb biryani was amazing well spice and good portions. You could taste it was cooked traditionally in a Tandoori oven. The onion Baji and pashwari naan was fresh and tasty. I could not fault them they also ensure that my allergies were catered for.

We loved coming here. Amazing food and service to match. Lovely menu with a mix of authentic and English classics (eg korma). The staff were super attentive and helpful. We brought our own premixed cocktails (no corkage) and the staff were very accommodating to provide ice and glasses. Recommend! If you are staying at the rock mill apartments it’s a stones throw so definitely go here! We pre booked and there was a real steady flow of both dine in and takeout so I would recommend this.

Had a takeaway from here and the food was really good. It seemed a popular place, by the time I had picked up my food there were 9 people there to collect takeaways so I would recommend phoning in your order in good time. It is also possible to eat in and one of the tables is in a nook with the bare rock as one wall.

What a find. With nearly forty years experience of Indian cuisine I can honestly say this is streets ahead of the most and equal or better than the best. The service is friendly and faultless. We began with prawn puri, with buns sauce) beautiful, the real McCoy. We had the Arabian chicken, one of the best, most exquisite dishes I have ever tasted. Also the chief's special Kulchi, piquant but delicious. And, you bring your own booze, there is no corkage fee.

We went for the takeaway meal deal for two and it was honestly spot on! We got chicken tikka, lamb curry, rice, naan bread, sauces, salad, plus a delicious potato curry, pakoras, and chicken pakoras. It was the perfect portion for two people and we even had leftovers for breakfast the next day! The flavours were amazing and everything was freshly made. They also cater to different diets with vegan options available, which is a huge plus. And most importantly, the quality and value you get is unbeatable. Highly recommend!

Went for a pre-valentines meal and it was excellent. We ordered off the chef’s specials and they were everything we hoped. Portion size was great and staff were very welcoming.

In a quiet, tiny village in the Peak District. Visited on February 8th. It was cold and dark, it felt like we were in the middle of nowhere... because we were. Imagine our surprise then to find what qualifies as one of the best meals we've had of this cuisine ... anywhere, from Dubai to Melbourne and London. It was ridiculously good. Really, absoultely magnificent. The two guys hosting us, one was the chef, could not have been freindlier, more connected, if we'd been related or known each other for decades. Thick, rich south yorkshire accents, with a weclome to our home, make it your home attitude. Can't really go on to say much more because the words aren't there. Simply stunning, authentic indian food tasting as if it had been cooked with oodles of love and care. This is one of the few restaurants that exist today, that are BYO alcohol if you want to. So not only did we get to eat some of the best Indian food in the country, but we drank exactly what we wanted and ... ended up eating out for fantastic value for money. If you enjoy proper curries, authentic Indian food and are willing to invest a little effort to do so ... this is a MUST visit peak district restaurant. Really ... it is. (Image from their website)

Just had a lovely meal at the curry cottage inside their beautiful romantic cave. Excellent vegetarian menu and meat menu for meat lovers too. Great service, excellent hygiene and super friendly. Authentically Asian food. Will definitely come again when visiting Derbyshire.

This is my second visit to this superb establishment. The first being with a group of friends and the second because sadly my wife missed the first occasion and had serious fomo (fear of missing out) On this occasion I had the Handi which was highly recommended by our waiter “TT”. It really didn’t disappoint! The portion sizes were excellent and the service was excellent with TT handling all our needs promptly. We don’t drink alcohol, but its important to note that if you do this restaurant is unlicensed to sell alcohol and this operates a bring your own policy.

have passed this curry house several times but today, I stopped and gave it a try, all I can say is wow, the food was absolutely stunning, We all tried different dishes and i have to say i have never had a Indian meal with this amount of flavour, even down to the pea rice, i personally went for the chefs special which was chicken palal, a little spicy for me but the flavour was delicious, couldn't quite finish mine so they boxed it up for me to bring home. hubby had special briyani and said it was delicious, staff are so friendly, will definitely be returning, Just remember to bring your own alcohol as they don't serve alcohol here, they do sell soft drinks only.
